I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Why not next time have a separate category for AmigaOS and MorphOS games? Is kinda sad that the winner does not even run on a Amiga.
In my opinion it would be better this way even if you had to reduce it to top5 or so.

I'd be willing to shell out $40-60 for an Amiga 4.0 version...

> separate category ?

Why not, but there is not much games for each category.
Remind that the results it's an overall results, so the best OS4 game of the year is Primate Plunge.

> What poor/OLD games...

Yep. 2006 was not a good year (same as 2004 : http://obligement.free.fr/hitparade/award2004.php, but 2005 was fantastic : http://obligement.free.fr/hitparade/award2005.php).

> the winner does not even run on a Amiga.

Dunno. I think it can be lauched on AmigaPPC with MorphOS.

Hi,

I am not bitching .. this is the reality !
If i make a award with the name "Amiga Games" then
i think this is from Games that RUN on AmigaOS on
machines that designed for AmigaOS !

This is NOT a AmigaOS Clone on a machine that never run AmigaOS
This is not a OS3.x Game that run only with sense on an Emu with an 3GHz+ x86 PC..

This is a Game that I can RUN if i have an Amiga and the OS in the
right version !!
An AGA game is an Amiga game even it is not run on A2000 ...
An OS4 Game is an Amiga Game !

An MOS Game is NOT an Amiga Game .. even i can it run on
classic with PPC card ... the same sense make the statement
all mac games that run on classic[shapeshifter] or AmigaOne[MAConLinux] are Amiga Games !

This is not the fault of the Voters !!

If the rules let vote for purely NON Amiga games .. blame the
initiator of the award .. not the voter !
He take the name "Amiga Game Award" !!
No one force him to doing a false Name ...

If a small ammount of computer user think his OS [MOS]
is the Amiga sucessor and his computer [Peg] is an Amiga then
this is not my problem .. but claim such games for his machines
as "Amiga Game" is wrong and it is no surprise that the
list is a source of flameware !

Would the most user think the small group is right .. the HW would
not collect dust in the stores !!

It is the fault of the Initiator of the award ..
Not from the Voters and Not my !

And i think all games in the list can played on MOS over 68k EMU
or OS4Emu[or the MOS port of the Games] .. and the Nativ winner logical ..
So -> THIS is the MOS Games Award !

The home page clearly states :
Amiga Games Awards 2006

So please don't shoot the messenger =)

I can't understand that last years list didn't get so much attention like this one though...

@R-TEAM:

While we can install Linux on our Classic Amiga (with PPC), IMHO we can include all Linux games next time.

It is Amiga Games Award, not AmigaOS Games Award. OTOH I dont see problem if it wa renamed to MorphOS Games Awards.

The bit that confused me is that it seems to be put up as an "AmigaOne" news item, but the top game doesn't run on Amiga One.....

Edit
-----
Sorry, irrelevent post. Someone had already made that point.

Morgoth, author of the MorphOS port of Robin Hood asked me to post this:
"If RuneSoft agrees then I see no problems with doing OS4 version of Robin Hood but I have no HW that is capable of running it".

@All

This entire "contest" is a fraud.
It is fake.
It is rigged.
It has ALWAYS been fake and rigged since the very first time.

The "judge" is wildly biased against AmigaOS games and always has been.

He intentionally rigs the contest every year, on purpose with malicious prejudice
.
I thought everyone understood that?

He should be IGNORED.

If some honest person out there were to hold an honest competition then everything would work reasonably.

Hi,

@Chip:

long long time Ago i have NetBSD1.x installed on my A4000/040...
So all Linux games allready Amiga Games ;)

@Kronos:

This is the problem -> "Amiga-community" !
The MOS user cant become part of the community only because they want it !
It is the decision of THE community .. not from the MOS user !

And in the past .. the arrogant behavor [like > MOS is the better OS than OS4 ever will..]
and the agressive posting and recruit from new user that comes on Amiga [you hear ..
AMIGA ! ] sites and will buy a new amiga make his "part of the community" likes not in such a way...

Foreseen from that he doing NOTHING to bring OS4 to sucess and disturb and atack
the sucess by buy the opponent HW and SW AND OS ....

So it is not easy for many user to see MOS as part of the Amiga community ....
But this is the fault of the MOS user!

@marcik:

This is a nice news and make Hope.Thanks.
