R-Team != "the Amiga community"
OS4-users != "the Amiga community"

And there was me thinking I wouldn't need to point out the obvious .....

Hi,

@ Kronos :

This is you [an MOS user] thinking and show the problem ...
YOU think you are part of the community .. but the most part
of the community NOT think MOS is a part.
If this untrue why collect Peg HW that is much cheaper then even
a old AOne and have a so much better OS than OS4 dust in the stores ???

Your kidding make my statement not untrue ...
IT make it right.

How about calling it the Amiga Community Games Award?

At least that's a little bit less confusing.

This is the problem -> "Amiga-community" !
The MOS user cant become part of the community only because they want it !
It is the decision of THE community .. not from the MOS user !

For years MorphOS was accused to split Amiga community but it seems problem is not MorphOS but certain Amiga users who wish to split it. Maybe it explains why Amiga can't have friends but is despised on forums like slashdot.

Why not, but there is not much games for each category.
Remind that the results it's an overall results, so the best OS4 game of the year is Primate Plunge.

Dont get me wrong though, i really happy with your effort and site. But i think it would better with separate categories if possible. I understand that this might not be so easy considering that we hardly have any game releases these days.
It would also be better if you could show what OS version and cpu each game runs on.

Keep up the good work.

Moved to misc news, shouldn't have been published as A1 news, but as that's the default option, I expect the submitter didn't change it, and no one caught it when approving. Not a big deal.

R-Team:
If a small ammount of computer user think his OS -MOS- is the Amiga sucessor
and his computer [Peg] is an Amiga then this is not my problem .. but claim such
games for his machines as "Amiga Game" is wrong and it is no surprise that the
list is a source of flameware !

Flamewar (e)? It's outright criminal fraud. If some asks me how to spell
France, how about I spell it 'Fraud'. Same fun and spirit of games, isn't it?

I know that your argument is flawless, still i bet that i could run this game on an A1200 with BPPC and MorphOS installed...

You could... eventually run native Linux APUX... don't know much more who would qualify... you aren't putting MorphOS on the same level of emulated OSs are you? Or perhaps all those OS who do you take out of nowhere now suddenly are as much alike AmigaOS as MorphOS is...

You're entitled to think... it's your right, but then what you're not entitled is to be automatically right

Quote:
This is NOT a AmigaOS Clone on a machine that never run AmigaOS
This is not a OS3.x Game that run only with sense on an Emu with an 3GHz+ x86 PC..

This is a prize of the best Amiga/MorphOS game of 2006

Quote:

An OS4 Game is an Amiga Game !

You might as well state conditions at your will, it would be as relevant as they are presented now

Quote:
An MOS Game is NOT an Amiga Game .. even i can it run on
classic with PPC card ... the same sense make the statement
all mac games that run on classic[shapeshifter] or AmigaOne[MAConLinux] are Amiga Games !

Sadly you don't understand the difference between having a native OS build for a machine, and an emulator... why keep on arguing?

R-Team : The page people have voted was with this words : "What is the best *AmigaOS/MorphOS* game of the year 2006 ?"

Then we publish the results with : "The game from Rune Soft have been elected best *AmigaOS/MorphOS* game of the year 2006."

The award is for all Amiga-relative games. If pOS games comes, it enter the competition, if AmigaOS 5 x86 games comes, it enter the competition. And of course, if MorphOS games comes, it enter the competition.

Next year, I can put "AmigaOS/MorphOS Games Award", but it will not change the concept.

ChaosLord : sad to see this. I don't know you and you don't know me, so I wonder how you can say this.
