i won't invest in theese boards until the lawsuit is over/solved but other than that, looks quite ok and bundling all in one box is a good idea and the price is nice if they can keep it at that unlike the µa1c and XE and SE which all where near double the price of what was announced.

I'm curious about the highend machine though.

Good for them to post the planned motherboard specs as promised, but if they are selling "a complete offering excluding monitor in a finished design that will provide customers with everything they need to get started" I expected to hear also: what case does it come in, how much memory equipped, what graphics card, how much HDD, what keyboard, speakers? I would rather have a naked board and build myself, but just the motherboard isn't what I expected to hear described as "a complete product".

I was about to whinge that it needed a PCI graphics card, becuase of course they aren't that easy to get hold of these days, but you just reminded me that it will be shipping with one anyway, so I revoke my whinging

Good price for a complete system.

The only thing to do to help Hyperion to develop Amiga os 4.0 now and in the future and to prevent the failure of AMIGA OS 4.0 as we know it today is not to buy this hardware ( that's my opinion and i hope it is also yours )

Nothing will happen until legal issues are resolved - and even then it sounds like if Hyperion lost then OS4 development is effectively abandoned.

So what OS will this run?

More importantly will $489==£489 as per usual, or will we actually pay the real cost of £245 here in the UK?

Hyperion is the programmers of OS4, they are the original developers of OS4. Who on earth is going to maintan and continue develop this ? Amiga Inc. ? Or one man ACK ?

Ugh. PCI graphics, one memory slot, and a 400MHz processor with no L2 cache and a crummy 64-bit memory bus? That's not a computer, that's a calculator with delusions of grandeur.

But better than nothing I suppose. Just barely.
