| The price is ok, I'll probably buy one. When will Amigakit and Vesalia have them on stock? _________________ This signature is in the middle of a much needed facelift!

| ACube could do with a better site for Minimig explaining what it does. A more Amiga focused site explaining it to the layman exactly what the product offers (ie Amiga emulation in hardware for games) would potentially get them lots of sales.
Could do with offering a complete cased solution too. _________________ Sam

| I need PAL/NTSC switchability like all my real Amigas have (A500/A2000/A3000/A1200) before I get one. Sadly, this minimig v1.1 design is hardwired to be permanently PAL forever. _________________ Wanna try a wonderfull magical Amiga strategy game? Total Chaos AGA

| So basically £120 plus shipping.
Not too bad I guess - still a bit expensive, but probably unavoidable until/if Clone-A is finished & mass-produced.
edit: If I was mean (grin) I would say that £100 gets you a GP2X that can emulate an Amiga (not quite as well), Megadrive (perfectly), SNES (almost perfectly), etc, along with TV-out capability... Last edited by ChrisH on 30-Dec-2007 at 10:33 AM.

| These could sell by the bucket load if marketed correctly!
Imagine: a MiniMig in its perspex top and bottom case with the Amiga logo (the italic lettering) and Tick (no crappy boing balls) etched on the top, with the ability to allow all those classic Amiga games to be played on a TV or monitor... would be as good as getting a Nintendo Wii!
That would be next years "must get" Christmas present I tell ya Amiga Inc could make a fortune! _________________ This fire is burnin' and it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop, It's rock n' roll - GN'F'N'R

Definitely. To me, the boing ball will always be associated with idiotic lawsuits by companies that really should be working together. The tick will always bring back memories of hours of fun with my computer.
I ask anyone that is serious about briging back the amiga in any form to use either the tick or something else - keep the boing ball away, please. |

| Specifications:
Processor: 16Mhz MC68SEC000 RAM: 2Mbyte 45ns SRAM FPGA: 400Kgate Spartan-3 (XC3S400) Boot/system controller: PIC18LF252 Mass storage: MMC flash card Power: +5VDC (approx 100mA without mouse) I/O: dual PS/2 port (mouse/keyboard) dual 9-pin joystick port VGA port RS-232 port audio-out misc.: jtag interface, power/drive leds reset and OSD button
What is the biggest MMC Flash Card you can have in the minimig?

I don't think it is too much hardship to take out the MMC, pop it into your PC, copy the adfs you want, then pop it back in the Minimig.
Get a big enough MMC and you shouldn't need to swap your adfs about too much anyway. |

| Yes, that would be great! But in order to sell to the mass market the Amiga OS needs to be preinstalled, case and powersupply needs to be added, some games included, so the price will get a bit higher... |

| I agree. I wonder about the size of the MMC...maybe the limit is 4GB, that will give you a lot of games! _________________ www.loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

| I would have loved to have seen a parallel port on this, even if it was in the form of an onboard break-out connector. It would have been pretty cool for some of my old embedded projects.
Kind regards,
Francis. _________________
