Software News : New AmigaOne 2.4.26 Linux kernel |
posted by rossv on 9-Oct-2004 16:46:15 (5164 reads) |
A build of a 2.4.26 kernel for the AmigaOne has been uploaded to:
http://amigaone-linux.sf.net
The usual modules, and config file are also provided. The build configuration is the same as previously, but two modules for USB PDAs have also been added (ipaq and visor).
The main feature of interest is that it has an Si680 driver included, as well as a coherency patch for the IDE (also known as the 'Bill Mueller patch').
Additionally, there are other improvements over the previous kernel versions.
NOTE: If you are using a Si680 card, you must add "ide=reverse" to your kernel commandline, that is, add it to the U-Boot 'bootargs' Env Variable.
This will cause your Si680 controller to appear as hda/b/c/d instead of hde/f/g/h, and provide a seamless change to the Si680 controller. |

Sorry it doesn't, I suppose I better make a new ISO. It will be indicated when I have updated it.
