| Small update, first two cards are waiting to be shipped to developers already. There will be more information when there is an actual driver or a status update, however I can say it's combo cards with a number of functions.

| As the sponsor of this, it would be good if (you or somewone else) could have links to examples of cards that the drivers work with, in your shop for example. As in the past certain IDE drivers have been written, but only the chip advertised (which is all well and good but finding a card based on said chip can be a real pain).
sigh: wish I knew how to write drivers, I'd take part..

that would mean a port of turboprint first wouldn't it? at least it would be helpfull. does the offer only mean cards put in the aone? or also aones by itself? i mean in that case it would be worth a try if gurumeditation contacts irseesoft and offers them an aone for porting turboprint directly.
as long as there is no decent printerdriver system available turboprint seems to be the only real solution - although it is a hack.

| I'm actually, as we speak, compiling a list of all chips supported by OS4. We're in discussions with intuitionbase to have some sort of translation between the chip and "verified to work" list.
Think of it as a tree structure, where the root contains the supported chips, and then it branches out with cards that use these chips that do work. Perhaps a list with "verified to not work" too.

| Personally I'd like to see some SCSI cards supported, such as the common & cheap Adaptec AHA-2930CU (the card I currently use with Amithlon).
A wider range of supported gfx cards would also be nice, but they're probably a lot tricker than most device drivers, so I'll keep my expectations low for that. _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...
