I'm currently trying to download the new SDK just now (100 meg version).

My current download speed is a whopping 283 cps!

I better get the kettle on for some coffee!

Kind regards,

Francis.

Ach well, attempt two under way...

Kind regards,

Francis

@all
Lucky me managed to get a copy of the final dev kit and found a few cool new things in there:
- full assortment of Un*x tools including sh
- MiniGL
- POSIX threads
- OpenAL
- SDL
etc.

The OS4 SDK keeps on improving with each release.

@ssolie

Stop it! You're making me jealous!

Seriously though, my best effort so far is downloading about 12 meg before it cuts off. Needless to say, I'm not exactly a happy bunny just now.

Kind regards,

Francis

Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with the gcc specs file in the SDK.

I did a last-minute change, and unfortunately, the editor I used cut off one line after 999 characters.

The specs file is located at gcc:lib/gcc/ppc-amigaos/3.4.4/specs. If you open it in an editor, you will see that one line (after the asm: line) is broken up. Just delete the newline at the end of the long line, and it should work.

I'm awfully sorry about that. I'll post an appropriate patch when I"m back from Belgium (I only have limited internet access here).

I'm going to see what we can do, after we come back. I'm afraid the CMS we use is a bit stupid with heavy server load. Of course, we didn't notice that during the setup and testing phase.

- code profiling support for both clib2 and newlib (see gprof)

Yay! The profiling will work! This is probably the most important feature I've been waiting for.

The improved C++ support is just a bonus

Currently downloading, but curious

@26 and all
is the sh command included able to run
complex configure scripts?
So I might drop cross development.

ciao

@Hyperion

When will it be available for non-registered users? People out there needs it to port software to OS4 even if they don't have OS4 (yet).

I'm sure AW.net will be happy to host the SDK!

Bad Gateway

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

Additionally, a 502 Bad Gateway error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

@EntilZha

In fact it's the line after "*asm_cpu:" so it's line 114 that should be changed. (joined with the line below, "J" in vi )

Hey! Your server seemed to have a moment of madness this morning, I had a download speed of 50k and got the SDK off your server. ;)

May I share it to the desperate people around, those I know have an A1 at least, or do you really need to know who they are? Not sure what your server is saving or not saving when downloading stuff...

Regards,
Jocke 'Zerohero' Birging
