You mentioned that you're now considering getting a USB MIDI interface. One slight drawback to this release is that the "beta" USB MIDI driver is included without any documents. It's not yet complete, and it will only be compatible with SOME usb midi interfaces (class compatible only)
I have set up a web page to host a compatibility list for this USB MIDI driver. I can also include other details there as well, if people tell me what they want to see on this site.
  http://home.bellsouth.net/p/pwp-AOne
Anyone using the USB driver: See the above site for a compatibility list. PLEASE report back to me if you have anything to add to the list, and make sure you upgrade to the public release when it comes out, probably in late January.
  Thanks again Alfred.. This ROCKS!

  | Ooooh!
Now that's a news I had been awaiting for a veeeery long time! (I've been without working B&P for two years now, since I switched to the A1)
Congratulation Alfred and a big THANK YOU! Looks like it took you a lot less time than you had anticipated
Thanks to Davy and Hyperion too.

  | I've been waiting for this moment since I destroyed the seriell port of my A1200, and bought my AOne.

I'm thinking about buying one of those Edirol UM-880s in January. I have been using OS4 Pre for over a year, a little beta on my USB MIDI drivers won't bother me. _________________ Amiga user since 1985.

  | Thank you very much for all your hard work. Once it starts running on my system it seems to be very stable, but when first started up it gave me a series of flashing yellow alerts I had to click through before it would begin. Has anyone else ran into that? _________________ -- -=#Val#=- Valiant@Camelot

  | @Valiant Nope, no alerts for me. I did notice that a few default directory paths didn't exist, but those were easy to change. Was this your first installation that included CAMD? The gameport MIDI drivers may be interacting with your AHI drivers, if I recall correctly. I'm guessing that my own install went smooth because I already had CAMD installed and working.
BUT, this is just guesswork. I'm glad you got running!
