Mildly amusing - but is it news? Not really. Feel free to discuss...

Might have been a remotely amusing news item for the 1st of April, but now and in the news section, it's nothing but spam.

And for the Greenpeace activists inhere... yes we collected all the bit's and pieces and they are nicely dropped in the corresponding container at the place we rent for our meetings... feel free to visit our page with pictures of that night, even more peacefull braindeath geeks using Amiga's and drinking beer.

glad to hear that. Sorry but i saw the same kind of event a few years ago and pieces got left on the ground. The guys were too drunk to care about it. So you can understand i have a bad feeling about this kind of stuff.
I'm glad u did it cleverly.

i still don't understand the purpose of it appart from free breaking, do you guys have nerve issues ?

Well just doing something else this time ...
You can't always do Lotus , Pinballdreams , best modded Amiga or best written software contests ... No this time it was some good old - stress relieving - desktopthrowing. With a nice bottle of champagne for the winner who shared it with the rest of the top three throwers... Doing something nuts for a laugh is good for the spirit in your club.

And polka .. stop spamming this news-item

This is not a news item, it's nothing but spamming. Very embarrassing for a reputable site like Amigaworld to have something like this on the top of their website with big bold letters.

Check out this website for some more creative ways of having fun.
Why not do something useful with old electronic components instead? What about a floppy disk bag for a start?

This might be fine as a thread in "Free for all", but as a news item this rather unimportant *cough* "news" only makes the important items (e.g. Pianeta Amiga, hardware announcements, McEwen message) drop off the list even earlier.

We can always bump those news back to the top spot.

Although - in my country we rather donate them to either underfunded schools or to organisations who give them to people in need.

This is a yearly event, with international coverage these days, and if the the Belgian Amigaclub make this a yearly event, then it falls into the same category.
