The amiga like window manage is called AmiWM, its availabe as source code from here , it would be nice if it could be updated a wee bit to look more like OS4 though. wish i could have a go myself but i dont have the required skills.

X11 has convinced me now that once new hardware is available i WILL invest in it, the software may not be native but atleast it can be used. It clearly is the best thing to happen to OS4 this year (untill the final release in december that is )

I tried to install X11 a few months ago. Then I started to have stability problems that were related to it, so I de-installed.

I can't remember the version, but is the latest version "fixed"?
Can I install it safely?

All these wonderful tools available and I'd like to try them out... :)

This is big step in the right direction, even if I don’t like X windows, it’s where useful to have, when programs like Gimp is ported, X11 + POSIX complaint AmigaOS4 = not so hard to port programs to AmigaOS, lets hope more goodies comes.

I hope ports get updated whit native reaction GUI in the future, but that’s secondary to get them compiled and running as AmigaOS4 programs in the first place.
