| @TheAMIgaOne/redfox These are attributable to running in a screenmode which isn't 32-bit. Some of the alpha graphics functions don't do the alpha blending in other modes.
@Swoop Please wipe out your NetSurf directory completely and reinstall manually using the Install script.
@Reth actually, on second thoughts, can you put the following on line 196 (underneath set #options-exist etc) (set #aiss-theme "")
or simply open a Shell and type: assign tbimages: ram:
This should get you past that stage (make sure Default is selected!) Last edited by Chris_Y on 25-Apr-2009 at 09:54 PM. Last edited by Chris_Y on 25-Apr-2009 at 09:43 PM.

| Thanks Chris. I was running 16 bit. Changing to 32 bit fixes her up just fine.
Thanks, redfox |

I have done that, and it still locks up my system on startup. _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

PHP as server side application has no influence on browser. Bank webs and lots of other sited use heavy scripting on client side (Javascript, JAVA, and others) and thats something IBrowse can't cope with...Last edited by ExiE on 26-Apr-2009 at 09:59 AM.

Any error messages? Some people get crashes with programs using shared objects - have you tried the static/gfx.lib version? _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz

| It's working for me, but is slow, and I do get the black boxes on 16bit screen resolutions, but not 32 bit ones. Shame I've got a µA1 which runs out of memory on high screen colours.
Nice, but unusably sluggish compaired to OWB, espically when scrolling _________________ Rage quited 29th May 2011

Try setting the following in Resources/Options: cache_bitmaps:1
I'm not sure why I didn't set that as default. Oh well it is for next time.
You can also try faster_scroll:1 but it's unreliable. _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz

| faster_scroll:1 made it unsable, as it didn't redraw the page, but it did go up and down faster!
Still got the black lines with cache_bitmaps, possibly a bit faster but still some drag.
I take it you mean edit the progdir:resources/options file? _________________ Rage quited 29th May 2011

| Works great and so fast. I only wish I could get it to open on workbench. I followed instructions in guide, but must be doing something wrong. Added to Options in Resources use_pubscreen font_min_size:12 use_workbench ;window_x:0 ;window_y:24 ;window_width:1024 ;window_height:744 ;window_screen_width:1024 ;window_screen_height:768 theme:Resources/Themes/AISS
Any suggestions? John Paul |

| @ChrisY
It seems to work on my sam440ep, BUT
For some reason it is running slow, despite the fact that I am writing this in OWB 3.9 while having netsurf open in the seperate screen?
Another point, I assume there is no javascript support whatsoever yet?
ALSO
My getvideo, I dont think it is working, as it asks for PROGRAM, whereby I push cancel.
Or is this meant to be used with the getvideo which is downloadable from OS4Depot??
AND
Why is it, that it is so slow, when clearly, with a few tabs open in OWB, a few other windows, and NEtsurf, I still have 220 MB of RAM left on my system, shouldnt that mean Netsurf has enough to go faster?
Thank you for any time and help given.
P.S. Unlike OWB, wanted to know if it is possible to Upload an item to sell on Ebay?
thank you.
Oh and yes, OWB has download support, but it doesnt allow for a simple GUI Upload support when wanting to sell on Ebay.
SO I gotta go to Linux or worse still windowze for this one thing? _________________ Courtesy of SAM440Flex & Amiga OS4.1 only Flex is 800mhz A1000 with Classic 520 Amiga OS3.2.1 AmiKit 12 MorphOS PowerBook G4 (which can play youtube vids)

| @Stephen_Robinson Black lines? Are you running in a 32-bit screenmode? (if not, you should be!) The scrolling isn't as fast as OWB yet - need to work on faster_scroll a bit more.
@my_pc_is_amiga Open a Shell and type: assign tbimages: ram: Then try the install again. Make sure you select Default for the theme.
@cope Most of that Options file is nonsense You need to add: use_pubscreen:Workbench (options are always in the format option:value)
I will get a GUI for the options in time for the next release! _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz

Did you try it without OWB open at the same time? Is anything particular slow (downloading pages, rendering?)

Correct. Steps are being made to implement it. Somebody is working on DOM, Javascript gets added after that. There were lots of questions asking about Javascript at the Wakefield show, and the poll on Drobe has it as the most wanted feature. The NetSurf developers are well aware that Javascript needs adding.

Got it in one. It's a script which calls an existing install of GetVideo with the correct parameters.

Memory has no bearing on speed. It shouldn't be generally slower than OWB. Scrolling can be a bit sluggish, but calling up pages is faster than OWB here.

You mean upload pictures? If it is a normal HTML upload box, then the answer is yes!
Two methods: 1. drag the file into the box which says "drag file here to upload" 2. right-click on "drag file here to upload" and choose "Select file" from the menu _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz
