I know in the past many have tried updating instead of doing a clean install and had many problems because of it. With FE you WILL most likely end up with a system that WON"T BOOT, BACKUP your sys: partition before you do anything else. all those of you that keep other programs on sys:, tough sh*t, you've got more to backup, set up a separate partition for them.

Why is that ?
Isnt that a bit, well.... stupid for a complete clean OS on CD ?

| F.E. Requires a 600MB Minimum SYS: Partition regardless of the target platform.
Installing over the top of your existing SYS: partition is not supported.
As Severin wrote back it up before you begin and if your SYS: partition is less than 600MB you will also need to resize it.
Of Course you can always create a second 600MB partition with a higher boot priority than you current SYS: partition and install to that or use the BootDevice in the kickstart feature. Last edited by JurassicC on 27-Oct-2014 at 07:27 PM.

I have never done that before, and I will not do it now 
Well, I will probably install in a clean directory, and then I will use BackUp to mirror the new install over my old, then use BackUp to do a Clean in test mode to see if any files became superfluous and needs to be removed. Oh yeah, I'll pull it off! I refuse clean installs!!!
