| Very sad news. I used Microdot-II, Voyager 3 and AmIRC all as the result of being bundled with NetConnect 3, and they were my main staple for internet use for many years.
I still have them installed in my UAE configuration, although I browsed with a combination of V3, IBrowse and AWeb as each had relative merits and cons depending on what you were doing.
AmIRC was the de-facto standard for IRC usage for a very long time until newer clients like Wookiechat came along. I still prefer to use AmIRC though.
Also had a lot of AREXX scripts written for use in MD2 which was useful to help automate things it never did as standard. YAM, THOR and SimpleMail have surpassed what MD2 could do though, but I never ditched my MD2 install - and it remained my main e-mail client until my Amiga's HD decided to die.
RIP Oliver, and thanks for the tools which helped us get going back in those early days of the net. _________________ Test sig (new)
