It could. We can compare other single slot Radeon HD7750 results to mine when they come in. _________________ Sam460ex : Radeon Rx550 Single slot Video Card : SIL3112 SATA card

| @Amigo1 really 624fps? I got on my X1000 only 440fps. Did you disabled L2 cache? _________________ Amiga600/Vampire2/PrismaMegaMix

| X5000 with Enhancer 1.2 installed & Warp Nova Radeon HD 7750 Video Card 8GB Ram
715fps
I don't have Warp3D on this machine other than Wazp and when I use that version, no fps even registers.
But under Warp3Dnova, the cow spins so fast it gets all chopped up. Feet don't match body. Not sure if that is what others see.
Also wonder why since I have a 7750 my Ward3Dnova #s are much higher than others with the same video card.
Seems mine offers #s similar to an R9 270 so not sure that is right.

thanks for the results! this proves that Update 1 is the issue with the X1000's and the slow Warp3D Nova results ! _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! Isn't the purpose of GPU to transfer everything needed in it's vram then let it work at full speed? |
Yes, that's true. However, the CPU also needs to send the GPU a stream of commands and those get sent for every frame. These commands currently get written directly to buffers in VRAM, and the driver also needs to read/write certain registers. So the PCIe transfer rate still makes a difference.
So the Nova version of Cow3D is still affected by the transfer rate. It does achieve significantly higher performance, though.

If the same card is slower/faster on the same hardware, in your case the X5000, then it is most likely down the core clock speed and memory speed. e.g My card is the one linked here, so I know the core clock is 933Mhz and the memory clock is 5000Mhz.
Sometime it might mention those specification on the box but if not you can look up the exact model you have on the manufacturers site or elsewhere if the manufacturer no longer lists the card.
If more people to the time to find the full specification of their card then we could make a more detailed comparison between different systems. |

Your results are pretty in line for X5000s. As I said earlier, the X5000 has a pretty decent PCIe controller that manages higher CPU based transfer rates. This makes a big difference in the Cow3D test (both versions).

I'm trying to understand differences between results of smf and amikakit guys with X5000 computers equiped with completly diffrent price graphics cards, where:
1) smf X5000 has R9 280X 3481.6 GFLOPS, Warp3d nova result is 775 fps 2) amigakit X5000 has RadeonHD 7770 1280 GFLOPS, Warp3D Nova result is: 724 FPS
How it is possible almost three times faster graphics card returns result only 51 fps more than weaker gpu? It's problem of Cow3D benchamrk, CPU or something else?? |

Maybe it has something to do with the AmigaOS version used, see my results on X1000 before and after FEUpd1 (Final Edition Update 1 or 4.1.8, however you might want to call it)
Edit:

Have you reported those results on the Hyperion X1000 forum. It sounds like it's definitely an OS problem and not the third party software at fault in this situation. |
