What zorro sound card is supported in A1200 ?
All is listen on A4000 or 3000, some reason why ?

The list describes what the betatesters have tested.
When a Zorro soundcard works in A3000 or A4000, its likely
it will also work in A3kT or A4kT or A4k with Micronik Zorro
daughterboard or in A1200 with a Zorro daughterboard. However,
it was not tested, and it may not work. To know it for sure
you have to wait until somebody tested it or try it yourself.

Sorry, I dont know the details. I hope the tester that reported it can
give additional details.

Will the OS4 version (and ongoing one) of Audio Evolution be able to work on OS4 classic?

I don't have a classic anymore, so I can't say it does. And if it does, I wonder how the performance will be, considering there is only one native driver for classic and that's the terratec 128i one, which is non-DMA too.
In any case, please test with the demo to see if performance is sufficient.

Basically the sound is garbage, which is funny since it works on the prometheus and A1. It's being worked on.

@Thread

Cool! Hyperion can make some much needed money to fund their on-going court case with Amiga Inc. I thought their original contract to sell AmigaOS4 in any form was revoked last year! Hell, I'd love to order one just to hold the box in my hands! However, money is tight and I can't warrant buying something I can't use! I really do have a problem with the premise I would have to buy 10+ year old hardware to use 21st century software!!! When will the Samm440EP version be ported?

I can only hope this is the start of actual Amiga products being released, rather than endless vapourware

Are you sure? AFAIK, the Voodoo 5000 was never released and only prototypes exist.

He must have meant the 5500 which was launched. the 6000 I KNOW existed in a number of prerealease versions but the 5000 I thought never reached mortals?

Aaah those were the days. what a card the 6000 was. it's pure fill rate sometimes surpassed the 2 generations newer Geforce 3 almost equaling the gf4 in one or two places.

And the scalability of the VSA-100? wow. oh well. stupid world.

It`s sad after they started it all. I`ve got an old Voodoo 1 and it`s actually got the fill rate etched on the board which I think is sort of quaint.

@BigD
Amiga Inc said it was revoked, Hyperion disagrees, and the judge apparently said Hyperion can continue business under the contract until it is decided otherwise (or something like that - I'm sure someone can nit-pick exactly what was said).

Hmm, you might be right. According to Wikipedia, only the 4500 and 5500 were available, the 5000 was supposed to be a dual-chip variant with 32 MB (mine has 64), so I probably have a 5500.

Anyway, any card with Napalm chips should work, really, even the Voodoo 6000 would (only one of four chips used, though)

Great news just a shame there is no hardware available to buy. I would love to get a new PPC card and run it on my A4000T.

The mistake is only direct selling from Acube in Italy, no reseller permitted.

so the Amiga market will be slowly to reborn "geographically"

no shop with Amiga products,

very busy..............

Huh? I was under the impression OS4 would be available from a variety of resellers.

Congratulation. Can't wait to see OS4 on a new hardware. I don't have classic hardware, so my hopes to run OS4 one day, concentrates on new hardware like Sam440.

@Sam
You're lucky to have such a rare Amiga model as the A4000T . Imagine if you had a Cyberstorm PPC card as well! You'd have one hell of a valuable/rare Amiga. Oh well, keep praying that a SAM440EP version will materialise

That is wrong. ACube are the distributor, and they distribute to Amiga dealers all over the planet. I don't know where you got that "no reseller permitted" from, but it's totally wrong.
