The younger brothers of Cube series (there is 3: Cube1, Cube2 and AssaultCube) are ported to amigaos4 !

Grab it from os4depot (for now in upload query).


There is few screenshots (1024x768, 800x600, 640x480):


And video in action on my peg2/1ghz/radeon9250/aos4.1u2 on youtube here

The game feels very stable and never crashes (well, on my setup, so you need test it yourself), with all that music/sounds and good FPS even on our slow opengl realisation !

Check the readme on os4depot for more information and docs inside the archive about how tunning and tweak the game.

There is also work in progress on Cube2 and AssaultCube, and there is video in action of AssaultCube. A bit buggy for now (pretty visibly, there is no hands and weapons in it), so its work in progress for now.

Hi :)

Good points , but (1) will not help us much, just because warp3d.library are closed source :(
(2) dunno about that, i some time ago do mixing of minigl+warp3d in one source , but it was worked only for 68k for me. Also in this case you again should use w3d function which need to patch as i understand.

But i feel you can help with it, check you mail :)

Btw, i checked minigl sources for now, and in file readpixel.c , in fucntions cgl_GLReadPixels, there is nothing about Z-buffer reading, or even about warp3d (except getting context and transfer data pixels from). I.e. it not use any w3d_readzspan or w3d_writezspan, or w3d_readzpixel. That what i found in description:

And nothing about z-buffer.. Looks like its just do nothing when glReadPixels call happenes with z_buffer argument.

I got it running about 15fps on my SamFlex@800Mhz, Radeon 9250.
