Yep! That's exactly what I mean. I've checked ALL files and drawers and found none of them missing, so the GR kicks in at a moment all the necessary copying has been completed. I wonder what 'Copy' was about to perform.
OS_4.1_4 is now my primary version of the OS to boot into.

Hm, sounds interesting. I like it when people are tinkering with the stuff at this level.
What exactly have you done to make your kickstart act differently?

Yes sir! I'll do it after the company leaves in a day or so. I hope they are in a hurry to get home.

Thanks, that is good to know. In case something like that happens to me I won't worry much.

Relating to the install scripts, all Kickstart files are on the partition which holds AmigaOS 4.0 Final. Usually though just that and the latest OS 4.1 release that I have adopted are configured in Kicklayout.
More generally, especially various 4.0 configurations are used to get more free RAM, since a situation where there's physical RAM left is most often preferable to paging. I suppose 4.1 could do that, but the 4.0 boot partition doubles as a reduced configuration. _________________ : AmigaOneXE (unmod.) 750FX/512 MB +stuff & AmigaOS 4.(0|1) : A1200/68060&96MB/SCSI/EM1200-Voodoo3 & OS 3.5 : A500/1MB : Pegasos (ff) 512 MB & MorphOS Praise seitan.

I hate to be deeply off-topic, but this is very important if you enjoy the internet. Do you believe in free-speech and the uncensored manner of the wider web? Heard of the Stop Piracy Online Act (SOPA?) Well if you haven't heard of it - you soon will.
Please, this is an absolutely must read.

| As you say, that is completely off-topic and there is absolutely no good served by adding comments about it to this thread (or any other). _________________ cheers tony

| @djrikky For such spam you deserve some restriction to posting, for sure :) How it possible, to throw that spam-shit in the more or less interesting thread.. are you really think that we come to that thread to read it ?
@all Installed update4 as well on my peg2, all seems fine (well, the same as it was with update3). Found no differences with update3 in general in terms of usability and in terms of apps which i use (its all works the same as before). Just maybe some placebo about faster rendring (and knowing that p96api.library is changed) _________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites

| Looking forward to give this update a go but currently I'm having great stability issues with my A1 which begins to show it's age. Have not really had time to try and solve the issue but I hope I can fix it one of the next few days if my gf allows me to spend time on such stuff _________________

Its not spam, its one post, I wrote it here myself. But unlike the moderators (I just got a Violated Trolling warning lmfao - it was one post on a serious matter) I realise you was humouring me rather than taking definitive action. However, the subject matter is very much real so I'd advise everyone to read the thread and post comments on there. Last edited by djrikki on 26-Dec-2011 at 07:15 PM.

AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 installed on both the AmigaOne 4 and Sam440. On the latest, I can see improved USB handling _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz

Ive made GfxBench2D test:
After update3:
FillRect: Size Time (s) Ops/s MPixel/s (16, 16) 0.068 146898.963 35.864 (32, 32) 0.109 91861.106 89.708 (64, 64) 0.194 51553.833 201.382 (128, 128) 0.457 21883.562 341.931 (256, 256) 1.354 7383.496 461.468 (512, 512) 4.791 2087.138 521.784 (1024, 1024) 19.330 517.332 517.332
After Update4:
FillRect: Size Time (s) Ops/s MPixel/s (16, 16) 0.040 248188.226 60.593 (32, 32) 0.058 171150.818 167.139 (64, 64) 0.151 66380.787 259.300 (128, 128) 0.419 23870.678 372.979 (256, 256) 1.316 7598.293 474.893 (512, 512) 4.734 2112.317 528.079 (1024, 1024) 19.164 521.805 521.805

Seems like good difference. If i understand right, fillrect() uses a lot everythere, and cybergraphics based emulation (which muiowb use) on os4 can works over all those fillrects().. Maybe that can explain speed imrovements. Or maybe cairo code works now better (as it also can use fillrects), and that also can explain rendering speedup.
