OK, I'm going to assume that 1) you've been away from the platform for a very long time and 2) you're gullible enough to believe anything, and then make up more (although I personally agree with TRONN).

1) AmigaOS4 is based on AmigaOS3

Reason) This can be proved as a while ago modules for OS4 were running on OS3.9. While some people didn't like this as it wasn't PPC native, it proves once and for all that the modules use the AmigaOS libraries etc...

2) DOS (by which I assume you mean M$-DOS) does not run on PPC CPUs

Reason) For a start, microsoft don't have such a product. And if it did exist, you can be sure that Mac owners would have used it.

Therefore the AmigaONE cannot run DOS. Period.

Maybe you're confused with Amithlon, though that ran on Linux, not DOS.

Consider this to be an attempt to "enlighten" you, as you put it. At least I've actually bothered to back up my points.

Lets see: himem.sys being a X86 program, need to be loaded to run OS4 which is a PPC program (and 68k). Ohh, that makes sence.

Looking better each time. I like the mini-boing in the left corner of the title bar, and the window gadgets with subtle 3D depth effect.

But some of those shots still show icons letfover from the 'NewIcons' package. These have gotta go. I hope to see the full icon set in the next batch ofscreenshots.

It was also good to see some different content, on the workbench. I was getting a little bored of the GUI preferences window in every shot.
