Woohoo, it loads .s3m and .it too now. I'll have to go download my old mods from the Hornet archive and start tracking again

Any other trackers/former trackers on Aworld?

Me! But the last time I composed a mod was in 2000. Most of my work is downloadable from www.vectors.cz.

Regards,
Trixie

I do hope that they make an Amiga version. When I first heard about this new version a while back on AOrg, I got the impression the Amiga platform was the primary target.

Hi Kay,

The only reason I can't confirm the OS4 version is because I don't have OS4 nor the hardware to run it.

But I'm sure I'll find someone to get it working, or I may even open source it, so the chances of it beeing available for OS4 at some point are 99%.

Cheers

Am I the only one that thinks that the interface looks like a steaming pile of poo, with different fonts, button effects, and the like all over.

It is 2003, people have 1600x1200 displays. Protracker had to deal with 640x256 and still looked much better (I liked the v4 interface that was purple).

Maybe using the OS provided interface toolkit isn't suitable for this project, but they could try and make it look half decent.

My son is a Protracker-fan. He is 11 years old and
can do some nice things with it on the old Amiga's.
It is not music, but for him it is fun and thats the most
importend thing, and it keeps him busy.

De groetjes, Dirk.

@Ruben:

Glad to hear that. Protracker is a HUGE classic, and so strongly associated with the Amiga name that not having the sequel would have been a minor tragedy. I imagine PT2 could be a great thing to use to show off OS4 on shows and demonstrations.

How's Immortal 3 coming along, btw? I seem to recall you asking for suggestions on AOrg some time ago (I think I made some, too).

@ Hattig:

It supports skins. If you don't like one, just change to another or create your own one.

Exactly!

Immortal 3: Jan Zottmann is the producer now, so I'm not up to date on that. But I heard a clip of Bjorn's Brat already and it sounded a really cute track

Argh! No! Don't do non-OS compliant GUI's! I *HATE* all them custom 'skin'able apps. Makes the workspace on your screen a mess.

I like the look too. Better than Modplug on the PC, which has a functional but boring layout. This one is interesting and intuitive looking to me. And it does say that it works with full screen/windowed modes so that shouldn't be an isse.

I used to do a fair bit of tracking (most was for fun, but some for blitzbombers) and more recently Chip Attack 2 from Anathema which will hopefully be seeing a release in the coming months).

I've used most trackers, but preferred PT3.xx over the old SoundTracker/Noisetracker and PT2.x series. I also use OSS now and then. I haven't really got into tracking on the PC though, having recently taken a look at Skale, but as it has lots of features from FT2 which I am not familiar with, I am not sure how to do some things yet
