Well I'll say one thing, you certainly get value for money with Fleecy's article, glad I don't have to pay by the word

Excellent article Fleecy, sure it wasn't your article delaying this months issue ?

Joking apart, I like the theory, It hasn't sunk in how all this will be implemented, but looks like it's going to be fun finding out.

more the link to the actual image files...

That's pretty much what I was angling for (I already know the release date is )

I'd like it at least a couple of days before Christmas, otherwise I won't be near an AmigaOne for ages to be able to install it

Oh, and Merry Christmas all - especially to all involved in OS4.

Chris

Its really excellent to read the good news.

Interestingly, I spoke with the dealer I'm getting my A1 from [Livewire Systems] about my system specs *before* I had read the news.

I'm quite excited for OS4.0 on PPC! Yay!

I know I'm gonna get looks for this but I don't thing the greates news are what you're focusing on. It was bound to happend more day less day. Hell we've waiting for so much time! To me the most important bit was the one that gives some hint about a "driver to a certain controler"..... if all is what it seems, that bit is the best news for me. The debate that has allways surrounded that allways makes one doubt, specially since there were competent people on both sides making contradictory claims... ups I'm talking too much...
I think some is gonna look very bad when that driver is proved to work welll

Guys, there might actually have been a hint at a release date approximation, comparing to a certain movie due for release.

On my way to read the CAM, I went to www.amiga.com. It is snowing there. (red and white checkered snow flakes)

LOL.... You know, I never even thought of it in that light, but now that you mention it, I think it was even referenced twice. Now I have to go back and read again.

I just noticed that too. Cool... I think they had those last year too, but I had forgotten about them.

How long should it take for the CAM membership to take effect?

After reading all the tantalising snippets, I decided to take the plunge and subscribe myself (hey - it's nearly Christmas; it's a present to myself! )... I can log in, I can see my CAM membership purchase in the download section (!), but no CAM

Any hints? PM is fine...

Email Ray (aka HMetal) rakey@amiga.com and he should be able to resolve it for you.

Dude - you will just have to purchase an Amiga One

Purchased an AmigaOne? Check.
Got access to CAM? Nope.

I paid for my Earlybird A1 6 months before I got the machine, does that count me in as having access to CAM, and if so how? Or do I have to fork out with more dosh?

Doug

You need another one to play when the computer is actually ready to use.
Maybe add more for malfunctions and then we'll have music all day.
