Just for fun I tried to run the AmigaOS executable under WinUAE on my work PC, but it needs rexxsyslib.library v37, and the AmigaOS 3.5 i have installed at work only has 36.. oh well..

Dare to try the amiga binary on a REAL amiga ?
I did not install uae on my Aone (yet, never if os4 comes out in the near future, not only as a demo) but I am very interested in the amiga version of uae (the latest was not working) so that I dont need a second monitor to play my favorite games.

@lionstorm

I was actually intending to try out the Amiga binary on my A4000 (OS3.9), and AmigaOne (OS4) once I got home from work. Until then, I thought it would be fun to try it out under WinUAE...

I will try it myself but not very soon (maybe in a couple of days). It will get better when sound will be implemented (which is not in this release).

Would be cool if you would write how it is running on OS4 ...

What about a native OS4 version

I didn't see any mention of file size limitations for the hardfiles on this. Does anyone know if this version still has the 2 GB limit for hardfiles like the previous one did? I gave up on getting this going in my Amigaone under Linux because the hardfile from my WinUAE setup is a bit larger than that (about 4.3 GB in size).

AFAIK the 2Gb limit remains, but Richard is aware of it.

That would be great for all our old software.

What about a site for funding this project like
the Amizilla project?

De groetjes, Dirk.

That's odd. It shouldn't require v37. It opens rexxsyslib without a version number, so any version should do.

I don't have WarpOS or a system capable of running it any more. But if somebody can point me to a version of GCC targetting WarpOS which will build a cross-compiler on Linux, then I'll produce a WarpOS binary too. I couldn't find any source code for a WarpOS GCC when I last looked.

Runs fine on UAE on Linux here. Did you enlarge the default stack size before running? It needs around 8k of stack but give it 16, just to be safe . . .

stack 16384

Still 2GB. I'll get around to fixing this soon - for systems that support large file sizes (which doesn't include AmigaOS, unfortunately).

You're right. I just checked - it's asking for v37 here too. Must be libnix doing its library auto-open thing. I'll fix it . . .

Is there a reason why there is no ppc binary built against glibc 2.2 this time?
