Software News   Software News : Hollywood Designer announcement
posted by softwarefailure on 16-Feb-2004 23:15:06 (2611 reads)
I'm proud to announce the newest Amiga software product from Airsoft Softwair today:
Hollywood Designer. The program is a state of the art "what you see is what you get"
editor to create presentations, games and applications for the Multimedia Application
Layer Hollywood and will be released soon. Hollywood Designer offers a powerful
GUI that has all functions you need to unleash your creativity.

With the Hollywood
Designer now everyone can create funky Hollywood presentations with just a few clicks
and save them for all Amiga platforms, e.g. you can create presentations for MorphOS on AmigaOS
or presentations for WarpOS/AmigaOS on MorphOS. Hollywood Designer blasts the borders of the
different Amiga platforms! And now here are some screenshots of Hollywood
Designer in action:

The classic Amiga had Scala

Now the new Amiga has something better - Hollywood, IMHO the only thing Hollywood needed was a GUI. It has that now.

Eyetech will be pleased

Oooooh!

I have absolutely no need for presentation software at the moment. Most likely won't have for the nearest future either.

But still...this I want! If for no other reason than to toy around with!

Let's hope my finances are in a good enough shape once OS4 is out to justify investing in software I have no actual use for...

My main grumble with Hollywood was the fact that development was text based only, I found the manuals utterly confusing and it was apparent to me that the author was a competent programmer - what was obvious to him was not so obvious to mere mortals like me.

Later I came across a guide in Total Amiga Magazine so I thought, hmmm I'll take a look at that. And I have to say, having put some effort into it and got used to the way Hollywood works, a text based development environment is actually extremely powerful! Thanks to Total Amiga Magazine for their tutorial though because I'd never have got the hang of things otherwise.

The new GUI will be interesting. I've already astounded all with a hollywood presentation on my Amiga which wiped the floor with everyone elses PowerPoint efforts. If a GUI brings more power to my fingertips again then my next presentation is set to be even better!!!

Nice one Airsoft, keep the developments coming.

Buy the way, is this a chargeable upgrade, and if so have you decided how much current registered users will have to pay to get their clutches on this new development?

Thanks,

Brian

Indeed, this is ONE of the programs I guess Amiga will (once again) profit on...

And I believe this even BEFORE I have seen the screen shots.

Scala for the classic Amiga rocked...Sincerely hope Hollywood will
be one of many applications that makes the Amiga rock once more...

Keep on the good work!!!
