Realizing I'm running the risk of being banned here but you got too far.

Having just read your posting I believe you are exaggerating.

Maybe so, but it seemed Bodie_C15 was taking a strong stance on it so it wasn't from any paranoia. OT posting is always suspect but frequently I'm guilty

I find what mjohnson has written to be interesting, please focus on such issues.

I thought so too. Apparently, it wasn't interesting enough, compared to the bickering.. Maybe I should've written something offensive, just to make sure my post would've gotten noticed...

Okay then, here goes nothing...

******* ***** *******!! ******, ** ****** "****" *********.

***************!

Now, about that Polaroid 35mm Slide and Film burner for Amiga....

The moderators have clear instructions, usually if you have crossed the line in a severe enough manner the moderator will first contact you privately and try to resolve the issue privately and may command you to stop your discussions.

If this fails the moderator will usually discuss the problem with other staff members and may meanwhile temporarily restrict your posting privileges. Depending on the severity of the website policy abuse, track record and willingness to comply to our terms further action will be taken.

For you to be banned you would have to have been severely malicious. Restricting posting privileges isn't the same as being banned. If your posting priviledges are restricted you will be unable to post messages to our forums for a specified amount of time, however you will still be able to sent/ receive private messages, read the forums/news, submit stories/classifieds/links/, etc.

JKD,

You have taken me completely out of context.

My post regarding suspension of posting priviledges was to avoid ravenous debating in what was seemingly meant only to be a sales thread. The post I made was immediately followed up by Darth_X in order that I may be tempted to place this restriction on him. I did NOT do so. The next post that I next made was an open door to all write whatever they wanted. Next time read all of what I say and not parts of it.

Oh,

I apologise for trying to be fair if you all want to continue fighting, then so be it... and don't forget that I am the...

KING OF OT POSTING!

-edit-
Oh and please don't forget, that all suspensions come under review both prior and post suspension. A banning is NOT dependant on one person.

'Sides' were taken on this debate long before Genesi and Bill Buck. With the exception of the people directly involved in the various disputes that split the community, no one should be taking a stance like you have here and propogating hate.
everything I know about Buck is strickly from personally meeting him and finding out exactly what he is. It has Nothing to do with the so called "political" issues that some people have taken over the years.

Because I was busy with a career I didn't even know Buck existed until about a year ago. (strange as that may sound).

I have nothing against any of the MOS developers at all. I was never a fan of the nonsense that went on with Amiga Inc. immoral behavior is not supported by me, no matter Who does it.

So, any comments I have about Buck come from personal experience and nothing else. I watched him use and insult people and I can not support and endorse that.

All I'm suggesting to people is to separate Buck from MOS and see these two things as different entities.

Support Amiga developers (even if they make MOS software/hardware at the moment), but beware of Buck.

I have learned that he has been around at least as far back as Visacorp and in my opinion should not be trusted.

@JKD
Thanks for the pos comment

@Cecilia

I'm glad you posted this last article. Please keep in mind, even though you dont like Bill Buck, he is only a Shareholder in Genesi. Genesi is comprised of a few shareholders - bplan included. So, its important that people who dislike one particular individual in an organization not hold the whole company in the same light.. that is a little narrow in my view. I hope to see you at the QUAG meeting this Sat in NYC.

@realize

Just a note.

Genesi SARL of Luxembourg is the only company in the "Genesi" empire that has BPlan members as common shareholders. That company ( which you can see for yourself from the articles of incorporation - public documents ) has Raquel and Bill as overwhelming majority shareholders ( circa 90% combined ) and three other people as minor shareholders.

This company however is being wound up as we speak and will no longer trade soon with Genesi only existing in name out of the USA - using the corporate registration set up by Paul Adams - this has nothing to do with BPlan. Given Paul Adams has left Genesi USA I doubt he has any stake leaving only Bill and Raquel.

The "German Offices" are that of BPlan and of course if any company offers to allow their business to be used as an address for trading by another company then thats their affair but I do not recall a Genesi GMBH having been incorporated recently - perhaps thats on the cards or I just missed it. In which case whom the shareholders are will make interesting reading.

Just backfill, not seeking to share or hide blame here.

For Christ's sake, people, stop attacking Realize as though he were the Devil Incarnate. What he has said in the past is water under the bridge, we don't need to repeat it. He was taken to task back then, just as some from the Red side were for their exaggerated claims.

The time has come to recognise that there are good and skilled people on both sides. We have to work together, or the Amiga will fail for the last time. And if it does, it will be OUR fault entirely for fighting amongst ourselves.

At least give others the benefit of the doubt. If you feel dislike for someone, keep it to yourself.

tony
