I seem to be getting more mysterious "input device" crashes now. Which either locks up the whole OS or just keybord/mouse input. (either which makes writing crash logs a bit hard)

@Orgin

Do you have a Catweasel? If yes, please remove it, there is an issue with the keyboard device and the catweasel controller that we haven't figured out yet.

@Hyperion (developers, testers, the whole lot of ya!)

Congratulations!

I don't think that you should have released it all as one update, though - you should have released a component each day for the 12 days of Christmas...

Any indications of what's left to do (or being worked on)? With each update, it sounds more like a professional quality OS, with all of the necessary aspects covered that ensure it is usable and comprehensive straight from the box... great stuff, and just what is needed in this day and age.

Once again, congratulations and many thanks - hope that you all have an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas/New Year holiday!

Yeah, but even if you don't use an Amiga keyboard on the Catweasel this problem will persist. It is sufficient to have it plugged in.

Great update. My DVD drive is now reconised and works . And the message about removing the catweasle seems to have now solved any system crashes

Only one minor point: didn't someone forget to include an icon for moovid? It took me ages to try and find it.

Gone all day and this is the result. I should have stayed home. The update is a tiny file, I was thinking in terms of 30/40 megs. But this is better. Something even I can handle with my crappy dail-up.

I've still got my CatWeasel plugged in, apparently without problems (well, apart from it not being usable ). I believe the important thing is to make sure "Amiga Keyboard" is not checked in Input Prefs? (Unless there is something different about the released stuff.)

Best regards,

Niels

I thought it would be best not to take the quick format

With any reasonably recent hard drive (like after 1990 or so), quick format is the only format you should do.

Oh, and while you're at it: Since you do have two physical drives, why don't you spread/mix your partitions over the two drives, so you e.g. have SYS: on one physical drive and Work: on another, and similar for the Linux partitions? It could cut down a lot on the disk trashing.

Best regards,

Niels
