| Wow! Looks really useful - this is the kind of thing that I rely upon when hacking around with VBA in Excel at work... and I don't think that I'd be able to do anything without it.
Shame that I haven't got an (µ)A1 yet, and can't program in C This however is something that I rate very highly, and will be added to the "Why I should buy an A1" side of the scales... Last edited by Chunder on 11-Jan-2005 at 09:05 AM.

| It's not even v1.0 and such a nice tool already, I can't imagine what v2 will be like. Even as it was before, it's worth every penny, so guys consider registering too to keep those coming! _________________ AlexC's free OS4 software collection

| Just registered it and I am not a programmer. But like to support this fine looking software.
I hope some day to find time to look into C-programming.

| Well, I received an email when this new version came out informing me that I could log into an FTP server with my details to get my own personalised copy.
My name comes up in the About menu now, but whether I have anymore than the version available here, I have no idea. Still worth buying nevertheless. _________________ Simon

| IIRC as he said earlier this program doesnt need any type of registrations at this time , there is no locked features etc but next version (or something) will be shareware.
i regged + gave a donation but havent got any info back yet on how or what.
lets see if that happens tonight. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| Hello Everyone.
Sorry about the confusion over the registeration process, I have been pulling all night'ers here to get the release out while still wrapping up some stuff with my former company. In fact I will be flying out there next week for a technology transfer to the three guys who are taking over my job.
So I will be largely unavailable for the remainder of January, hence I rushed the release of v0.95 a bit.
To answer your questions about what you get when you register and how it works, here's what happens.
1.) You register the software at www.bitbybitsoftwaregroup.com by paying for it via the PayPal button (only your name and email address is required) 2.) Once I receive your registration, I make an unique key for you and embed it, along with your name and email, directly into a personal version of the software. 3.) A unique user account is setup for you on our server, and the software is placed there for you to login and download at your convenience. 4.) An email notification is sent out to each registered owner of the software to inform them that new updates of their personalized version are available for download and how to get at them.
The current public version of the software (being a PREVIEW version) is identical to the registered versions at this point, except for your personal key and user information, that is built into YOUR personal version only.
What will happen is that once version 1.0 of the SDK Browser is released (due out in Feb.), it will no longer be updated (only bug fixes if necessary). All registered owners of the software with continue to get updates (about once a month) of the SDK Browser through the full version of 2.0. Once v2.0 is complete it will be sold as a commercial product only (no demo or crippled version) for US $24.95.
Version 1.0 will remain available as shareware for those people you appreciate the work but can't afford the "commercial version". Also, it works as a very good demo of what you can expect from BITbyBIT and v2.0+ of the software. Shareware programs are rarely a good idea for a company writing software for a platform fulltime, but in this case I decided to make the first level of this software freely available to help generate interest in programming for AmigaOS4 and give those part time guys a leg up. Don't get me wrong I MUST make enough money to pay the bills to keep doing this, so PLEASE register if you can.
Anyone who registers The SDK Browser v1.0 (Shareware version) after it is released will receive a personalized keyed version, and will be able to upgrade to v2.0 anytime for only US $9.95 ($24.95 - $15.00). So if you get your registration in before February, you save $9.95 to spend on other Amiga software!
PS: Anyone who just registered earlier today should have their email on where to get your personal version. -THANK YOU! _________________ Jamie Krueger BITbyBIT Software Group LLC jamie@bitbybitsoftwaregroup.com PLEASE NOTE: I only speak for myself and my company, and am not a spokesperson for Amiga Inc.

| I have a major problem with this program. It is qutie confusing and non-intuitive in its function. Also, it shows the whole autodoc instead of just the function clicked on in the list. That is a major blocking for me supporting this program. The current Autodoc Viewer on OS4Depot is just about perfect. If if could show the includes, then it would be perfect. _________________ AmigaOne XE 800Mhz/1024MB Radeon 9200 128MB 160GB HD/2x 4GB HD SII0680 PATA133 Audigy 2 3Com 100Mb PCI Card

Personally, I like to browse the entire Autodoc file and search around it for related items, as I tend to run into new functions and stuff I wasn't "directly" looking for, which often inspire new ideas. Hence the "Browser" part of the name.
However, I really liked what AutoDoc Viewer did as well, breaking the Autodoc file into isolated sections. Currently, I feel the function lookup system needs the most work, and rest assured I do already have both the "View function only" mode and the "Disable Mouse-over control" functions on the list for v1.0's release in February.
Also, v0.95 included a "View File" feature which defaults to opening a file requester in the Includes part of the SDK. This was meant in part to allow access to the Includes until I could complete the "Includes" browser tab.
Bottom line of course is the best way to get the features and software you want, is to register it. _________________ Jamie Krueger BITbyBIT Software Group LLC jamie@bitbybitsoftwaregroup.com PLEASE NOTE: I only speak for myself and my company, and am not a spokesperson for Amiga Inc.
