| Off-topic: Are there drivers for the Soundblaster Live! yet? I've got a spare one here which would find a nice home with an A4000. |

| the mediator was one of my best upgrades ever done after the 060 but i think people should think twice before upgrading to mediator due to the new cards comming around and that there is no SHARK and most likely never will be either.
68k is more or less dissapearing and as we all know pup+wos is no where to go either with thoose damn 8mb problems.
Anyway to all who still sits on a zorro 2 or AGA or even ecs ...upgrade to mediator and a gfx card, its a whole new area which u wont regret.
nice price cut elbox, shame you guys didnt do it abit earlier.
ps:the mediator is superior to most solutions because of their drivers , the driver support and service is great but the mediator is slow compared to the predator (g-rexx) but you should keep in mind that the g-rexx has no drivers except for barebone stuff (gfx, network and a mere soundcard).
thumbs up elbox. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| I agree with Toaks on almost everything.
As far as Amiga 1200 area goes, Grex 1200 really looked like a superior product for a while, but after DCE stopped producing/supporting it, Elbox had a clear road ahead to the finish line with a good, but clearly design-wise inferior product. In any case, today, if you compare Mediator 1200/SX/Z-IV with Grex1200, Mediator clearly wins due to much, much, MUCH better driver support. As far as fitting each to your tower case, Mediator is easier to fit, and it sits better than Grex, in your tower case. The 8MB limit is a pain in the ass as far as PPC gaming goes on Mediator. Grex doesn't have this limit and your Voodoo card can use all of the available video ram. Also, another point for Mediator is the fact that you don't need a PPC card to use it. Grex needs a BPPC, and of the newer (rare) revision 2, in order to be able to use it.
Luckily, there are pretty much no limits/design flaws as mentioned above with A3000 and A4000 versions of Mediator, which in my mind represent the true power of this product and are really the versions to go for. |

| Hmmm, very interesting . . .
I am going to wait to see how ACK PPC card looks and hope that he will have one for the 4000. |
