STEVE: dont know what you mean with perfectly playable but sure it was playable if u turned off sound or turned the quality down but overall i hate playing games with no sound.

Once u turn the sound on it started to cripple , anyway wb window plays far better than fullscreen as usual

I've just noticed that both links have a trailing space after the filename, because of this they
didn't work under AWeb. Delete it if you have the same problem. I was already afraid that the
archive was taken offline
So, now finally I can play Secret of Mana on my Amiga... I was dreaming of this since I've seen it
on a real Snes, I think it was something like 8 years ago!

Would be fun to here how good (bad) it works on a CSPPC/BlizzPPC and OS4 compared to WarpUp.

@Toaks:

Perfectly playable as in not crawling to the point you wanted to weep

The worst culprit I found was when a trasparency effect was going on. As soon as they happened it crawled for me (Super Turricans bombs for example). Sadly most games with sound enabled wither play very slowly or the sound stutters horribly. I never found a decent setting that enabled you to use both OK. Some games could just about cope (Donkey Kong Country almost manages, as did Super Turrican 1+2), but others like Final Fantasy 4 were horrible to watch and wait on (the intro to FF4 takes sooooo long to get through, whereas on the PC it goes like greased lightning).

To that end, I had to use the PC emulators since they were a heck of a lot faster and with working sound.

The Linux version of SNES9x is like that too! I wonder what slows down the OS4 version... but I found out that pressing "," or "." (comma or full stop) changes the speed.

Cool!....
I guess a 60hz mode makes the scrolling smoother as usual?

@SpotUp

I would think so, coz its pretty smooth here @ 60hz.

Biggest trouble was to get the audio to work properly, and window-mode
didn't want to work on OS4, just froze the system.

Hi!

WarpSNES OS 4 is based on the SNES9x 1.42 source-code. The last released WarpOS version (I just kept the name for nostalgic reasons ) was based on some SNES9x 1.3x version if I remember right... for a long time WarpSNES for WarpOS was based on 1.29 though.

Yes, it is a OS 4 only executable (thanks to Olle for helping out with the sound code and some bugfixing when I was lacking the time to finish the port !!!)

Once AmigaInput is available to non-Betatesters I will include AmigaInput Support back into the exe, also...

Thanks, works very well :)

Btw, how can I choose screenmode for fullscreen? When I select fullscreen from prefs it opens 800x600(?) screen by default. Keyboard prefs would be nice addon (and amigainput support too) :)

WarpSNES chooses the smallest "suitable" mode. If you do not have a mode which is >= 256x256 and
