| So is this usable with AmiGS and AmiPDF, or at least the Turboprint device? _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

Hum, didn't you notice that OS4 has a native version since the beginning? _________________ Philippe 'Elwood' Ferrucci Sam460 1.10 Ghz AmigaOS 4 betatester Amiga Translator Organisation

jesus! it looks like a bear to install. |
?? just 4 archives. decompress it into ONE directory and do the needed assigns written on the homepage to it.
assign GS850: targetpath:targetdir assign GS850Data: GS850:Lib assign GS850Fonts: GS850:Fonts assign GS850Resource: GS850:Resource assign Ghostscript: GS850:bin path GS850:bin add
that's all...
then try: gs GS850:examples/tiger.eps
to view the well known tiger.

no, yes, yes.
AmiGS need a special output device inside ghostscript. AmiPDF should use the standard ghostscript stuff. the tubroprint device of gs850 works fine here.
maybe you should contct the author of the os4 port to consider porting 8.50 including a working turboprint device?

but only v8.01 which is quite old now. and the turboprint device does not work. besides these two "problems" it works very well.
gs8.50 is much more advanced and has better rendering routines.

| As there is a PPC morphos version, whats the chance of an OS4 native version??

| It would be an even easier install if you just extracted the files to one directory and didn't have to set anything else up but the optional PATH addition? :)
Why does there need to be a full assign to every pitiful directory?
