Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : We're Back
posted by DaveyD on 6-Feb-2005 18:06:24 (7409 reads)
We're back at long last after a severe attack on our server by hackers. The site is now hosted on our new server with greatly improved security and performance. Apologies for the long delay, we wanted to make sure the site was secure and safe before going live again.

Please report any bugs/errors that you never noticed before, also if you know anyone having problems accessing the site tell them to use http://62.193.231.47 until the dns cache has updated on their isp.

Regards
DaveyD

PS Thanks to DaveP and Sibbi for their help

Thank God! It really is a hate-filled mess out there. It's only when you loose something that you realise how much you miss it.

Thanks for all of your work getting the site back!

Keep up the good work and don't let the idiots that hacked the site spoil our fun.

Great work DaveyD, DaveP, Sibbi, Orgin and Mark in getting the site back online and moved over to the new server. I am sure the members and visitors appreciate the hard work you've put into making this happen.

Maybe for you, but for me here, it is now running a lot slower. I don't know whether that's because of the 106 guests we currently have or not, but the old server definitely loaded faster for me.

Excellent!

Time to put of some slippers, turn the fire up and settle back in the comfy chair back at AW.net.

Glad you're back!

Cheers,
Bean.

Whew, been forced to lurk around Amiga.org and even relieve some posting urges on Amiga.com. Glad thats over.

Thx for coming back. My AOne is in for some fixes at the moment so I don't think I can bear being both OS4 and AW free for another week.

I've even pulled apart my towered 1200 to see if I can get it running smoothly again.

At least now I can continue with a lot less nervous shaking now that I can get this fix.
