Events   Events : Announcing AmiGBG 2005!
posted by shoe on 27-Apr-2005 20:04:58 (7183 reads)
Finally! We're happy to announce that AmiGBG 2005 will take place on the 23rd of July at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden. This year we've almost trippled our staff, so can count on a memorable event. Celebrating the 20th Anniversary together with AmiWest we want this day to become a World Wide Amiga Day. We'll get back to you with more details later on.

See you there!

We've already got a bunch of surprises lined up. The list of exhibitors is constantlly growing, and we promise you - this year will be special. Gothenburg is spectacular this time of year, if you have the opportunity we really encurage you to take a few extra days and spend them in this beautiful city.

More information will be avalible on www.amigbg.com in the coming weeks.

My, doesn't time fly, seems like just yesterday I was at AmiGBG 2004
http://amigaworld.net/modules/features/index.php?op=r&cat_id=1&rev_id=51&sort_by

Gothenburg is a great place and the people are very friendly, I wish I could make it over this year, would really like to see Gothenburg in the Summer time, and the show is probably the best Amiga show in Europe, if not the World. Wedin, Shoe, Reflect and the rest of the show organisers put together a well organised show.

Lovely.

And just about the time when I'm actually back home in Borås (only 80km from Gothenburg) for summer! So for once I don't have to reshuffle my schedule to get there. So I'll go too.

I realy wish I can be there... last few AmiGBG's have been great and I'm sure this one will be also. Only problem is me and my wife's honeymoon will most likely clash with it.

Good thing is we're planing to drive all around Sweden to see some of the many things we know about but haven't seen or experienced for ourselves, so I just might be able to point the car in the GBG direction. The tripp is obviously not about Amiga but if we're driving by and they just happen to have an interesting fair in town who knows, fingers crossed.

One very cool thing would be if Amiga OS 4.0 would be released on the 20th birthday of first public appearence of the Amiga

Maybe at some point in time, these two Amiga shows being held on the 23rd and 24th of July, 2005 could be added to the AW.net Calendar of Events...

Hey, you guys really lucked out this time.

I'll be going to China on the 24:th so you couldn't have planned a later date and still feel safe when you fall asleep at night!

Looks as though I can just make this one!

@Brian

Just tell your wife you want to visit Gbg to go to Liseberg. She can't resist that. You can seat her in The Cannon while you rush off to Lindholmen.

Does that mean you're not coming?

No problem.

The question is whether we would be safe letting you loose into it.

Between Barcelona and Ducktown? Will that be played anywhere near Gothenburg?
