Finally! We're happy to announce that AmiGBG 2005 will take place on the 23rd of July at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden. This year we've almost trippled our staff, so can count on a memorable event. Celebrating the 20th Anniversary together with AmiWest we want this day to become a World Wide Amiga Day. We'll get back to you with more details later on.

See you there!

We've already got a bunch of surprises lined up. The list of exhibitors is constantlly growing, and we promise you - this year will be special. Gothenburg is spectacular this time of year, if you have the opportunity we really encurage you to take a few extra days and spend them in this beautiful city.

More information will be avalible on www.amigbg.com in the coming weeks.

I will be going to AmiWest, it is a few thousand miles closer to me. This will be my third time in a row. You know what they say, "The third time is a charm."

as i just bought tickets for a friendly game july.25. between Barcelona and my hometown's small team ;)

Between Barcelona and Ducktown? Will that be played anywhere near Gothenburg?

the football club of "Ducktown" is Aarhus Gymnastik Forening (AGF)... that is relative close to Barcelona

@thread,

thanks for all your encouraging words. This years AmiGBG will be something extra, I promise you. Some night life has already been planned, you won't be dissapointed. But beware, there's also some activities scheduled for the day after the fair. This will be mostly informal and just a social gathering of some sort. Maybe Ole-Egil brought will bring some moose for the BBQ.

I thought this date had been official for some time now

Anyway I am so much looking forward to go there and meet you all (again..). Gothenborg is a nice city and it will be nice to pay a visit during the summertime.

Only problem is how to get there but thats a luxury problem when you live only 300km away.. Might take some holiday in the area afterwards.

@Rigo
There was plenty of nightlife after the last AmiGBG (allthough the swedish guys went home early I didn't get home to the hostel before 5 in the morning

Well, if I turn up this year, can someone please organise some night life? :)

Better set off for the night life at about 3 in the afternoon, might just find it by nightfall if finding the way back to the hotel last year was anything to go by

@Troels

The date has been official for quite some time indeed. We have just held off the grand advertisement due to reasons.

From now and onwards, let no one be uninformed!

@ Voodoo

Kicko has a room for you ready, theres even some
"shljiva", whiskey and beer in my fridge.
And if there is a party we can go and dance to 09.00
if you like. Raw psytrance :)

If you come you can tell the amigbg team that you
want to show your stuff. Like the Balkan page
voodoo-amiga-news. Wouldnt be bad to have another
amiga newssite on the fair. hehe

@ shoe, wedin and other organisers

AmiGBG 2004 rocked! Good luck with this event!

@ shoe

Too many banners at the AmigaRing homepage already, but I added an image here. Hope it's all right to use this image.

Difficult choices this summer... Where to go? California... or Sweden... or maybe Hawaii ....

I hope there will be an opportunity to get the A1XE fix done

I'll propably make a trip to Liseberg during summer, so might as well try to make it the same weekend.
