Some other dealers already know Forefront's method. It's all the same mods to the board as what Mr Hardware and a few others already do, the only difference is in handling of Eyetech's voided warranty.

It's a shame Eyetech does business this way. I hope they won't release a new super Amiga in the near future because I won't be be buying it from them

I haven't the foggiest idea. Nor do I know if it applies in USA where Forefront is located. We can only hope that things in the future work out so people don't find reasons to grumble anymore. Though having observed the Amiga community since before the Amigaone, I'm sure we'll all find something else to complain about if future machines come out perfect... ;)

So with FT you loose the warranty also? Is it only the French dealer that gives the word about keeping the warranty? I am not stamping on FT's offer. Great that they offer it for free to their customers.

I hear yah. I am not buying either. If my SE (any news on fixes for this?) breaks down I think I will go for the ACK boards. I think the 3 strikes and your out applies here.

Same here, it is very unlikely I will buy from Eyetech again. Hopefully ACK (and others) will use normal (and legal) business practices. |

No, if you have any remaining warranty, and you purchased your AmigaOne from us, we will honor the remaining part of the warranty after we apply the fixes.

Well, that and the fact that we've removed the "at the customer's risk" aspect being that we will replace or reimburse the retail cost of the board if we damage it while attempting to apply the fixes -- and that goes for anyone, Forefront customer or not.

Is there anyone providing this rework that does NOT void Eyetech's original warranty?
For people buying their board from Forefront, their remaining original warranty term will be honored by Forefront instead of Eyetech.
