Looking good, too bad it's just in Deutch.
The site looks very professional oriented and reminds me of those sites for professional softwares like MDPs, MRPs and the like.

Agreed. Website looks REAL slick. Screenshot looks great too. Just one small question: what's it all about? A quick elucidation would help immensely: just a short round up of the features, tasks etc.

Is the program localised? IF so then you can create English catalogs for it.

proBanking is going to be a client for online banking. It supports the HBCI protocol, which seems to be a widely accepted standard (at least in Europe).

The tool that was released a few days ago is just a small proof of concept - it connects to a HBCI server of your choice and does some low level communications.

Style guide states that english is the only built-in language that should
be used. Other languages should use locale.
I as a non native english speaker fully believe that english should ALWAYS
be used. Otherwise only a few selected users can use the software.

Maybe someone could inform the author? Or help him translate if he's
not that versed in the english language.

HBCI was invented by the German Bundesbank (main governmental Bank) and was supposed to replace all other protocols (disks with code, memory stick with code, special device with code...). Unfortunately though the HBCI standard is very secure (much more than any other online banking system), it even works with smartphones and the German Postbank, many German banks don't use the HBCI protocol.
The German government wanted the HBCI protocol to become standard for online banking in the EU. But still many countries in EU don't use it at all!
Here in Luxembourg (the country with most different banks) not one uses HBCI, not even the the Deutsche Bank! All online systems ask for Windows!!!! Only the Postbank works with any browser that supports 128 bit encoding and any system. When I converted my accounts to online banking, I asked all banks if they do have HBCI support. But none could help me. They didn't even know what it is

I really like Europe!

Hi to All !

OldAmigan contacted me yesterday and told me about this thread. I am the author of coming bankingsoftware "proBanking".

I was absolutely not aware of any amiga-users out of europe. I only got a message from hungary.
I there is a real interest in my software of englishspeaking users, I of course will try to localize my software, no problem.
At first I have to come familiar with the OS-localisation system, but that will be no bigger problem.

When the source is adapted to multilanguage support, I'll contact some of you for translation support.

I actually don't now, I some banks outside of Germany or Europe support HBCI.
Perhaps someone can ask his banks for that ?

Greetings to all of you,
Sven

Please add support of more protocols like OFX, the used protocol seems better, but most of banks in my country don't use it...

Anyone knows about other protocols for ebanking? Could be nice if are supported in next version of your program, there don't exists programs like this on the amiga platform...
