@Kiko

Thank you my friend! Well, my friend will have the money either monday or tuesday, as he has an internet bank account, so i can definitely say i will have the fixed A1G4XE mobo at the end of this month, so stay tuned

I will definitely try out the latest SFS 1.248 filesystem and have a complete backup, just in case Just imagine the performance with the SFS with SATA harddrives controlled by the Sii3114 SATA RAID PCI-controller! That would be amazing!

Keep checking my topic "Helgis To Get A Fixed A1G4XE SOON" as often as possible, for any updates You can find this topic under the forum "Amiga - Next Generation Machines"

If you have damaged SFS partitions regulary you either have a hardware problem, or you are using broken software which trashes the SFS buffers or diskcache.library caches in RAM.

@ Joerg

Yes could be whatever. Sometimes aweb crashes, sometimes Ibrowse.
The latest ctorrent (68k) crashes when finished (cant break it either).

I bought 2 120mm FAN's to be sure to have good cooling and on the cpu
full blow fan (noisy).

This week ill get my ESI Juli@ card so hopefully at least the
sound+internet crash will be gone.?

The last versions of sfs uses 1024blocks for partitions bigger then
65gb. I have a partition with 70gb. Lately i have changed that and
formated (quick) to be sure i have everything how it should be.
Toaks helped me with buffers as i was using low values. Fixed.

Today i quickformated my dh1: and copied back the backup. Now ill need
to check if i lack of some new updated programs since last backup.

masktransfer: 7FFFFFFF, mask: FFFFFFFE

DH0: 3,5GB 1000buffers
DH1: 40GB, 5000buffers
DH2: 20GB, 3000buffers
DH3: 70GB, 8000buffers, 1024blocksize
DH4: 51GB, 6000buffers

Before i had installed SFS in edit_filesystems in mediatoolbox.
But as people and doc says to remove it i done that. So its clean.
I even commented out FastFilesystems and voodoo driver from
kicklayout as i use radeon and smartfilesystem.

WBStartup:
Addmenu.rexx, Amidock, AsyncWB, Clicktofront, contextmenus, deficons,
Depthtofront, Rawbinfo, Titleclock.

I use powericons and i use kingcon (to takeover fully the CON: and RAW:)

Amigift i have installed but im not touching it until its less beta
on os4. I had some problems on a4000 with it.

I have always had problems, no mather if a1200, a4000, A1.
Filesystem stuff, Internet not working as should (router fixes most)
etc. And beeing a betatester of different programs does not helping
it either :')

And i didnt wrote this to blaim SFS at all. I had problems also with
PFS. I use si0680 card and audigy2. My A1 is fixed. The internal IDE
is not used.

So i belive its programs that crashes that can make this problems.
Often i cant boot with the keyboard so i have to reset on the case.
Specially the sound+internet(soundblaster) problem.
