Any idea what he is up to now?

I would be curious to know if he remembers a PD disk called "Majors #7" that he gave a really great review for...

The last I remember of Tony Horgan, before he left AF, was that he got married and produced a record, Can't You Feel It.

When he left AF was just as Amino (Bill and Fleecy, now Amiga) bought the Amiga assets from Gateway. As we all know, those were very dark times for the Amiga. Gateway promised a lot, but their promises just kept disappearing, or being cancelled.

Tony criticised these things a lot, and so became cynical, jaded and depressing. That was bad enough, but what was worse was that often he was quite right.

Well, now that things are better in the Amiga scene, perhaps we can bring Tony back?

@treblesix

There's some interesting stuff on 'AIM'. Have you checked out the AP2 link? It would be great to see similar lasting tributes to the other Amiga magazines. I especially like the downloadable covers.

@ToAks

Perhaps he liked to be called Tont?

I hope so, although I doubt he used Amigas to produce the song.

Aphrodite (the musician, not the godess) used to use Amigas too.

Yes, a long time ago he was an Octamed user. Other famous ex-Amigan drum'n'bass producers are Muffler and Keltech.

Maybe we can lure those ex-Amigan musician's back, once we can show them how good OS4 is!

That would be good. My first encounter with CU was the December '96 issue, with Worms DC and Wordworth on the floppies. It was also when Tony became editor of CU & what an awesome mag it was under his guidance...

Ahh, the good old days. My first officially bought issue of CU is looking worse for wear (the aforementioned issue) has anyone got a mint copy I could get hold of? Dec '96!

A friend of mine gave me stacks of AF, AC and CU issues from '94 up until 96, but it's the ones I bought that mean a lot.

Steve
