Heh - we were on holiday in Croatia last year and I tried to pick up a bit of the language (so I didn't come across as typical boorish English tourists!); Dobar dan/dobro jutro and hvala are unfortunately the only things that I can recall at present We did, however, get to the point where we could order food and drink from a menu entirely in Croatian - lots of fond memories of pivo toceno, prosek, wonderful food and people and sights... but perhaps not enough for me to follow the discussions at your forum
