Software News   Software News : Amiga Bourne Compatible Shell 0.0.37
   posted by hnl_dk on 2-Jan-2006 21:34:26 (2238 reads)
abc-shell is a Bourne/POSIX compatible shell, that can be very usefull when porting from POSIX systems.

You should now be able to use configure scripts, created with newer versions of autoconf, without big problems. There are also some other minor fixes.

please update to abc-shell-0.0.37

I have made an upload to AmigaOS.dk, OS4Depot.net and Aminet.net

If You have any questions, ideas or bugfixes, then contact us - https://sourceforge.net/projects/abc-shell - or me private - hnl_dk@amigaos.dk - thanks for Your support.

Best regards,
hnl_dk - Henning Nielsen Lund

@all

You should still compile libraries "the old way"... I am on the way to port libtool, so we can use configure scripts, to port libraries (but I need to make some "tests" to make sure that I know perfectly how to make the shared libraries, using a2solib)...

@Freaks

Have You updated sed?

download it from here... and copy the unix one to SDK:/Local/C/sed

You should also update coreutils

install awk

I have just made a new port of grep, and this one is working...

@freaks

You could also try to make a simple 'TMP=/T' before running your configure script... this environmental variable will be set as standard in the next release.
