i guess most of you know that german and english share a lot of vocabulary.. but sometimes the meanings of words changed over the centuries..
(english/german) before = bevor ... welcome = willkommen income = einkommen to come = kommen to become = werden (old english wyrdan or something like that) to get = bekommen
so.. since before is bevor, to come is kommen and so on a lot of germans use "become" (which almost is like bekommen) if they want to say "get" :)
so this was just a littal explanation so that those who read this do not have to wonder anymore in future about germans using become instead of get :P
...a german in a restaurant... 'i would like to become a steak!" ;)
