I have the Unrar 3.4.3 OS4 PPC version. How is that different than this? Are they from the same branch of source?

I think an OS4 port of 7zip would be more useful.
That program is free and also supports multiple compression schemes. It also has the ability to unarchive .rar files.

Not that it matters, the more programs on AOS4 the better in my opinion so it's still great news.

There is already an OS4 PPC native version of UnRar on OS4Depot. It's version number is different, but it works without any problems.

I did an OS4 port of p7zip last year, it wasn't complete (don't remebler what was missing, probably support for links, AmigaOS paths or something like that, nothing important), but it was very easy to port, nearly any programmer can do an OS4 port of the current version. If nobody does it I can release my unfinished port of the old version from last year.

At last! A STABLE version!
With the previous one it had 50% chances to hang WarpOS or the whole system, depending on the flavour. Good!

well, give me some os4-capable board and I'll be glad porting unrar and everything from Amiga.sf to OS4

This 3.60 version is the 3.6.8 package release.

from 3.4.3 to 3.6.8 at least some vulnerabilities have been fixed...

You don't need OS4-Hardware do code for OS4, do you? Maybe when port 7zip also, someone will happily provide you with some OS4 HW ;)
