| Sounds good to me!
One thing I hope for; that it powers on nicely without any clicking. The onboard sound on the A1XE (yes I have a chip on mine) gives a bit of a click on power on and initial boot up.
Cheers, Bean.
P.S. I hope we get to hear a little more news on the main board over the next few weeks. _________________ OS4.1 + SAM Flex RIP my A1XE.. that used to have an appetite for batteries!

In our design we use 6 audio connectors to provide a full surround sound system: Front, Left side, Right side, Center |
So if I'm reading this right Amy05 will have component Audio. My DVD player has this but not my amp, so I have to make do with optical instead. |

| They claim to have "working Amy's", but not quite finished yet, and not shown working at the BB4 for reasons I cannot fathom (unless I am incredibly cynical & wonder if they don't actually work yet). _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. They didn't say they chose it just now, so it's best to wait till next week. |

No, we designed and tested several sound systems. We are just releasing the details of Vers. 1.4 now.

your right Rob. We locked this part in the design some time ago.. _________________ Troika NG progress reports & news releases will be released as such, from my office. ttp://www.troikang.com/ Amy, A NEW HOPE ============================================ Opinions I might express are mine alone, and do not represent those of Troika

| JB, can you tell us if the "jack sensing" feature will be available under OS4. I've seen this on x86 and love it. This is where the driver detects when you have plugged something into the jack and can even give you the option of selecting the type of speaker you have plugged in (FL, Center, FR, SR, SL, or Subwoofer). That is the feature you describe, right? If so, will it be as configurable under OS4?
I hope so. It's really nice to not have to worry about where you plug the audio jacks, you just select the type of speaker you have plugged in as it detects something plugged to the jack. |

Excellent question !
I can only speak hardware wise. The "jack sensing" feature is fully designed into Amy. So its one of many features Os4 can build upon.
Maybe Rogue, or Dave AE can answer from a software point of view? _________________ Troika NG progress reports & news releases will be released as such, from my office. ttp://www.troikang.com/ Amy, A NEW HOPE ============================================ Opinions I might express are mine alone, and do not represent those of Troika

| Yes, definitely. Are the prototypes far enough along that work on porting OS4 to them can begin yet? |
