I took a quick look. Looks quite nice and basic functionality is already there. I managed to crash it by pushing cancel on the open file requester. It gave the message: "terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
what(): basic_string::erase" and left the window open. Of course it's a work-in-progress but I figure bug reports will help you improve it.

For some strange reason, my IBrowse hand-pointer has changed to black after I ran/crashed Cinnamon.

Just one question, you have a fonts drawer containing TTF fonts. Shouldn't they be in the FONTS: assign? I thought that OS4 had TTF support and hence the whole system could take advantage of whatever fonts you have.

Hope you get plenty of time to develop this, and that people will notice the donate button on your website.

Hans

P.S. I agree with your reasoning for putting the toolbar on the side.

This looks great!

It looks up to date and professional. I look forward to using this program in the future. I have been using final writer for years, but it is broken do to the new memory system. Although I am going to miss FW, it is time for something new and native. Two thumbs up.

Looks nice, One thing I noticed is that I get accent marks above aeio and u, I think this may have something to do with me using a US International keyboard layout. I use this setup to correctly write my wifes name with all her accents as Renée.

That is right. I just decided to put the fonts in a local drawer so I didnt have to write an installer script. The fontmanager of CW can handle as many TTF fonts as you can throw at it, but the CW fontloader is still very simple and can only use these five fonts. If anyone would like to use the fonts they can move them to their fonts drawer. All the supplied fonts are free.

ps. Bug noted

I assume this is an OS4-only program?

@Chris
Yes unfortunately only os4 still. However it is not my intention to be platformcentric. I just dont have time (or proper equipment) to support different platforms at this time
