Announcement   Announcement : Interest in a reprint of the AmigaOS 3.9 book?
posted by AndreasM on 27-Apr-2007 11:11:10 (3004 reads)
We got the chance to reprint the German AmigaOS 3.9 book.

This book (roughly 500 pages) of Haage & Partner has been out of stock for a long time.

To make this possible we have to get a minimum amount of orders together.

To see whether there is demand for a reprint we ask all interested users to drop an email at Andreas@apc-tcp.de using the subject "OSBuch".

The scheduled retail price will be between 25 and 29 Euro plus shipping.

This is not a preorder!

Foody, he can't reprint an English version of the OS3.9 book as one has never been produced in the first place.

Are there enough German speaking Amiga fans to make such an effort worthwhile? I know if it was english, this shouldn't be a problem.

But how much of those 500 pages are instructions, and how much is code examples and illustrations?

How about an electronic version of it instead? The non-german speakers could then use Altavista to translate.

And it would cost less.
