Software News   Software News : Wet updated - and now available for OS3.9!
   posted by Chris_Y on 12-Aug-2007 16:30:25 (3333 reads)
Wet 5.1, the latest version of the weather program, has been released.

New features include a 68k port for AmigaOS 3.9 BoingBag 2 (many thanks to Bernd Gollesch), full 32-bit icon support under both OS4 "final update" and AfA_OS icon.library, and a new 32-bit icon set (many thanks to Ken Lester).

Find out more or Download from Aminet

If you use AfA_OS, please get the updated icon library which works correctly with Wet.

@VooDoo

I just downloaded and tested and the archive is fine. Try downloading again, or use a different version of LhA.

Testing integrity of archive 'wet.lha':
158 files tested, all files OK.

Operation successful.

Great work man!

Just one tip:
I solve a problem with Wet on my config. the famous "cannot connect to server".
I set in tooltypes:
PROXY=weather.noaa.gov
PROXYPORT=80

And now It works great. !

Edit: There's something wrong with your site (wet)

@petrol

Oops. I obviously didn't check that page after I changed it, stupid error, thanks for pointing it out.

Your tip is an odd workaround to use HTTP 1.0 instead of 1.1. Not quite sure why it solves your problem, but if it works, leave it. It's probably better to put an actual proxy server address in rather than weather.noaa.gov though.

Chris
