Announcement   Announcement : The Mysterious City of Cold CONCLUDES!
posted by RoqueFort on 12-Sep-2007 13:40:53 (4068 reads)
YES!!! It's done! It's finally done! It's been in the process since 2004 but now it's finally here- a 55-minute amiga-generated animation!

Go to http://www.3btv.com/ and click the library button just below the media window, select "search by author" and type "Stu M"

Alternatively, select "search by clip name" and type "City of Cold."
Note that it's in two parts; if you want to play the whole movie, play "The Mysterious City of Cold: second preview" first, then "The Mysterious City of Cold"

No, but you could try PM'ing RoqueFort.

@Kicko

Direct addressing "MMS" does work just fine in MPlayer through the
Input/HTTP menu. I've used it even on dialup.

But I don't see any MMS address I can simply cut/paste into Mplayer here.

Maybe it would be easier if someone could just host the A/V files somewhere
amiga accessible?

Try this line in Mplayer.

You must be new... at least comparatively- over 500 posts.

I used Deluxe Paint 5 and AnimatED. I've been waffling about those for ages, first hoping AnimatED would run on OS4 without the 2MB chip RAM limit, then hoping for an OS4-native version, "Super-AnimatED," without the 128KB file size limit for audio files, support for file formats besides IFF... it goes on!

You can see the first preview, 21 mins, on Intuitionbase. Ryu uploaded it there as Xvid ages ago.

At BB4 I gave Ryu a copy of the second MCoC preview, but it seems he never got round to uploading that. Maybe he could upload the full version.

Erm, don't hold your breath! I was hoping this would be the last big project I did on a classic Amiga.

Now it's my turn to catch up with the news and join the WHERE'S THE F##K#NG HARDWARE?!? arguments, and see what comes after the Amiga vs. Hyperion trial.

Don't forget the prequels to MCoC, Arry on Easter Island and The Green Wrath, as well as the short, surreal anims featuring Arry, and digitised Lego fun!

Well, you knew that from the thread about the first preview, and the copies I brought to BB4.

I'm not actually THAT patient, the movie has been in production for nearly three years, but I could have done it in ONE. Lack of motivation slowed me down, caused by lack of interest, and lack of AmigaOne hardware!
