Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : Amiga Co-founder, Dave Morse, passed away.
posted by Seer on 8-Nov-2007 13:10:01 (3890 reads)
It is with deep sadness that I report that Dave Morse, the co-founder of Amiga Computer (Jay's business partner), has passed away.

Dave was a true master of business and trust. Few people know that Amiga was as much a product of Dave as it was from Jay.

Dave and I worked together on several technology businesses since Amiga. He had an amazing ability and intuition in the business domain.

Dave will be missed. Here's my personal tribute...
In Memory of Dave Morse

-Carl Sassenrath

Another tragic loss to our community. I wish more of the old guard had survived to see this court case resolved and the Amiga platform revived.

I never had the opportunity to know Dave personally, but he is a man that I have admired and respected from afar...

Another sad day in Amigas history. R.I.P Mr Morse. I wish you had lived long enough to see your joint creation rise to become mainstream again.

Condolences from the Hovell Clan.

Another Great person gone to his rest.

Another great person who should not be forgotten.

Isn't it interesting that often the most creative people are the ones least likely to make a lot of noise? Maybe because they spend so much time actually doing something useful.

My condolences as well.

I just noticed in the obituary that Dave is survived by his wife Lorraine. At the risk of sounding sadly misinformed on the trivia front, was the 'Lorraine' named after his wife?

Thanks Dave for all you have done for us...

My condolences go to his wife, Lorraine (your name is really a dream for us...), and to all the Dave’s family.

Yes, it was a very good idea... I hope someone can make a case for the new amiga (if ever something come out, at least) that renew the nice/useful keyboard garage form factor...
