Shame it only accepts PayPal. I would have bought a copy years ago if it accepted Visa or Mastercard.

Having used MorphEd for a few years, I decided to support development by buying Cubic IDE, and I must say it's a nice editor especially for programming.

Of course I'd prefer to have MUI user interface rather than a "custom" one, but the editor has many good features that all MUI editors I've tried don't have.

Does it work with AmigaOS4 (especially, with my new and shiny installed AmigaOS4 for my Classic Amiga 4000 PPC )

I do have the latest Golded Studio version running on AOS3.9. Is there an update to CubicIDE?

Thanks!

nexus.

You can pay on Paypal using a Visa or Mastercard.

@TonyW,

It appears that you *have to* open a paypal account for buying this product.

It's a bit strange because by default with paypal, you can offer both choices,ie: Visa, Mastercard or paypal account.

Perhaps you can ask the author for it. I'm sure it's only a "10 minutes" thing.

Cheers

Glames

I believe that is a country-by-country decision of Paypal. PayPal Germany (Cubic web store) seems to require that customers open a PayPal account.

I ordered Golded and it arrived within only one day! Wow!

Unfortunatly, it doesnt seem to work on AmigaOS4 classic?
The installer refuses to install CubicIDE due to some missing rexx-libs.

Is there a workaround?

nexus.

Actually, that is just a warning, not a refusal. There is an "ignore problem" button to skip over it (on the right side of the warning message).

If the installer detects an incomplete rexx installation (rexxsyslib missing, no rexxmast task etc.), it will show that warning. That was added for installation under MorphOS which ships without Rexx and requires manual installation of the relevant libs.

If OS4/classic uses different libary names, Cubic may not be able to correctly detect if Rexx is installed. In that case you may skip over the warning. Please let me know which missing file causes the problem (see the list of required files displayed by the Cubic installation).

If Rexx is not operational because parts are indeed missing, it has to be installed. Cubic can not be used without Rexx.

As far as I can remeber only two things are missing in AOS4:

sys:rexxc/
libs:rexxsupport.library (not quiet sure about the exact name. something like "rexx" *and* "support" was in the name)

But I`ll check this as soon as I am at home again

greetings,
nexus

rexxsupport.library

Is it unavailable under OS4/classic or does it exist but not as file libs:rexxsupport.library (version rexxsupport.libray)?

rexxsupport.library is missing, as well as sys:rexxc, but RexxMast task is running.

Can i ignore this or is rexxsupport.library necessary?

greetings,
nexus.

Many rexx macro, not just my software, need this library. Are you sure it's missing and not provided differently (as resident library)? Please check with the version command. If it's missing, try the rexxsupport.library of OS3 and check with the macro "golded:etc/rexx/dirlist.rexx" or the menu item "Macros->User rexx macros->Insert contents of folder..." of GoldED. These require the library.

yes, it is missing for sure. "version rexxsupport.library" reports: "VERSION: Object not found".
I'll try the 68k version and let you know if this works.

Would be nice if one of the OS4 Team member commented on this ..

greetings,
nexus.

You have an 68k Amiga with PPC card, so you choose "Amiga with PPC card". In the next step, you will be asked about the OS. You choose OS4. If you do that, your system will subsequently be treated as if it was an AmigaOne. In the future, could you please ask technical questions by e-mail?
