Software News   Software News : Cloanto Announces Free Upgrades to Amiga Forever 2008
posted by mcb on 18-Dec-2007 5:10:28 (3250 reads)
Cloanto announced today first details about the imminent release of Amiga Forever 2008, a major upgrade which among other things is to feature "a revolutionary new way to experience Amiga emulation".

All customers purchasing Amiga Forever 2006 on or after December 1st, 2007, will be offered a free upgrade to the new 2008 version. As usual, upgrades at special conditions will also be offered to all previous customers.

The changes in the 2008 version focus on the software. The videos on the two DVDs remain unchanged.

As usual, upgrades at special conditions will also be offered to all previous customers.

Does this sentence mean that those who bought their copy of Amiga Forever 2006 before 1st December 2007 are also offered THIS free upgrade or it means that such people will have also an offer of upgrade but different?

I think it's not clear.

I exercised some bad timing and ordered on Nov. 29th! I haven't gotten it yet, so I'll have to wait and see what shows up.

BTW, first post. I'm back after an 18 year absence. Time flies when you're not paying attention. Maybe I'm just visiting; I'm not sure yet.

I think it means that existing Amiga Foever customers can expect a discounted price and that new customers who buy the current version can get a free upgrade for the new version when it is eventually released.

The usual good service that is always provided by Cloanto IMHO.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have to say, the Amiga community seems to be a friendlier place than the Linux community, but I think I can get used to that.
