What would be great is a Blizzard 060 PPC type board that can be inserted into my Amiga 1200. It is all ready to go!

Don't stop there! Make it available for A4000 also.

This sounds great... I would just appreciate it if someone finished the AmigaOS4 for the Classic Amiga and wrote a driver for my Blizzard SCSI device. I see no point in buying it until then.

Elbox

Thanks for the happy new year and fro the Elbox news

Thats great your designer team work on new hardware product()s or driver(s) for 2008.

- I imagine that All will see new drivers with no-DMA use for using all the existing PCI cards for mediator with AOS4 (I hope) ???.

- A new PPC board on PCI slots with no-DMA driver for AOS4 ???

I dont think elbox will made a blizzard PPC only clone because no zorroII connector available for that. (also the speed is better on PCI than on zorroII).

Dont forget that most of the amiga users have SCSI also.

Whatever the hardware(s) or/and driver(s) ELBOX do for AOS4, that will push forward again the amiga and his AOS4 and thanks for that in advance

PS: please send that at a normal prize, not too much

YES, a PPC card for A1200s (as well as A4000s) would be great. Another great thing would be to create a newer generation of an A1200 mobo (same form factor as the original) with an FPGA emulating AGA unless AGA can be skipped all together and a new graphics chipset can be implemented without back compatibility issues arising. I think such a board could maintain the current Amiga market and the products offered until newer hardware comes to surface in the future.

I don't think they actually need a license from Amiga Inc. The Shark PPC appears to be covered under the definition of target hardware in the November 2001 agreement.

Quote:
"Target Hardware" means the PPC based hardware developed and marketed for the Amiga platform including but not limited to the hardware developed and marketed by Phase 5, DCE, and the AmigaOne hardware developed by Escena under contract with the Amiga One Partners.

Well, yeah...they speak, sort of. Few specifics, nor even direct mention of Shark or Dragon, which is what most people have an interest in..

I guess we'll see if anything happens here or not..
