Hardware News   Hardware News : New drivers for FastATA 1200 MK-III controllers

ELBOX COMPUTER has released today the NEW drivers for FastATA 1200 MK-III controllers. New software is available free of charge for all registered users of FastATA 1200 MK-III controllers.

The update includes:
• ATA3.driver ver.8.8
• ATA3Prefs ver.8.6
• AllegroCDFS ver.3.5


Changes:
ATA3.driver ver.8.8
- support of PIO3, PIO4 and PIO5 modes under OS4 added
- autobooting from CD enabled

ATA3Prefs ver.8.6
- NOSPLIT mode as a default
- RESIDENT mode as a default

If you own an older FastATA controller (Lite, MK-I, GOLD or MK-II) and you are resident of the European Union, you can upgrade it now with the newest FastATA 1200 MK-III in the FastATA Trade-Up Program receiving 40 EUR mail-in rebate.

If you want to take advantage of the IDE Trade-Up Program but you are not an EU resident, contact Elbox Sales Department for a customised offer.

FastATA MK-III controllers in the FastATA Trade-Up Program are covered by the New Year FREE SHIPPING offer, which is valid till 14 January.

Sound like a really nice offer for ELBOX customers, and really nice way to get more out of BlizzardPPC / AmigaOS4.

If i still had my a4000 i would 100% update with the new drivers :)

edit: Sorry missed the info it was only for a1200 but you get the picture.

Well, I have not got anything yet... hmmm I don't know if they forgot my registration or something. I've had the controller since long time ago and updated to the MKIII version a few months ago...would anyone be willing to help of they do not email them? (yes, i just emailed them asking)...

Probably just as well you don't, then, because they are for A1200

In that case you find the S/N in your outbox of simple-mail or yam.

Write it down and stick it on the CD-cover so you don't lose it again.

Am I the only one still waiting to get the driver update?

I guess its time to resend my request for the driver update as I only have version 8.0, and I can't get the no split mode to work.

edit: resending my update request worked I now have the updated drivers.
Time to go try them.
