posted by mordock on 15-Jan-2008 8:22:10 (2373 reads)
Udine, Italy - January 15, 2008 - Following last week's preview of Amiga Forever 2008 running on a One Laptop per Child XO laptop, Cloanto is pleased to confirm that Amiga Forever also runs on the Asus Eee PC.

Cloanto Italia srl are Amiga software developers since 1986, and publishers of the successful line of Amiga Forever products since 1997. A version of Amiga Forever capable of not only running, but also booting on the Asus Eee PC is planned for release in 2008. Development remains intense on additional features and add-ons, and more surprise announcements are planned for 2008.

So does it run at a good speed? I tried E-UAE on the default installed Linux distro and it didn't really run fast enough to be usable. (I am thinking that it may have been a sound issue, though.)

Nice.

I'm really tempted to get an Eee PC now and use it as a dedicated mobile Amiga!

Kind regards,

Francis.

I hope they take the time to incoperate some of the A4A and various other things that we spend a lot of time installing and trying to get running. to make it look better.
